Business › Re: Why Asian Countries Dominate Global Trade (and What Africa Can Learn) ➡️ by Merryoptionsltd: 3:19am On Mar 11 |
SellerAfrica75: If you walk into any supermarket in Lagos, Accra, or Nairobi, you'll notice something: shelves filled with products made in China, electronics from Korea, and instant noodles from Thailand. Walk into a supermarket in Seoul or Tokyo, and you'll struggle to find a single "Made in Nigeria" item.
This isn't coincidence. It's strategy.
Why Asia Dominates:
1. They Think in Value Chains, Not Single Products Asia doesn't just export raw materials. They export finished goods. Take cocoa: Nigeria exports raw beans. Malaysia? They process cocoa into chocolate, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, capturing 80% more value before it leaves their shores .
2. Regional Integration Works While Africa still debates free movement of goods, Asia has RCEP, the world's largest trade agreement binding 15 nations . Goods move across Asian borders with minimal friction, allowing supply chains to stretch across multiple countries efficiently .
3. Investment in Infrastructure and Education Asia understood early that roads, ports, and STEM education are non-negotiable. China now accounts for over 30% of global manufacturing value added . South Korea and Japan invest more in R& as a share of GDP than most European nations .
4. They Build Relationships, Not Just Transactions From Japan's decades-long TICAD partnerships to China's Belt and Road Initiative, Asian countries play the long game . They invest in understanding local markets, building trust, and adapting products to what consumers actually want.
What Africa Can Learn:
1. Add Value Before You Export The continent holds 30% of global mineral reserves . Yet we ship raw cobalt, lithium, and copper abroad, only to import finished batteries. We must industrialize locally. Indonesia banned raw nickel exports to force processing industries, and it's working .
2. Fix the First and Last Mile Asia's success rides on seamless logistics. In Africa, moving goods from a farm in rural Nigeria to the port remains a nightmare of checkpoints, delays, and unpredictable costs. We need consolidation hubs and transparent tracking.
3. Prioritize Quality and Standards Asian products dominate because they meet global quality standards consistently. African exporters must invest in packaging, certification, and compliance, not just hoping goodwill will sell our products.
4. Leverage the AfCFTA The African Continental Free Trade Area is our RCEP moment. If we implement it properly, removing non-tariff barriers, harmonizing customs, building transport corridors, we can create the unified market Asia has .
5. Embrace Technology and Education Asia's STEM focus produced TSMC, Samsung, and global tech leadership. Africa's youthful population is our greatest asset, if we invest in technical education and digital infrastructure .
The Bottom Line: Asia didn't dominate by accident. They planned, invested, and acted with unity. Africa has all the resources, minerals, land, people, and now a continental trade agreement. The question is: will we organize ourselves to seize the moment?
Drop your thoughts below. What's the biggest lesson Africa should borrow from Asia?
#AfricaTrade #Export #AsianEconomy #GlobalTrade #Industrialization #AfCFTA #MadeInAfrica Excellent evaluation..cheers |

Car Talk › Dangers Of Vehicle Upgrade! by Merryoptionsltd(op): 9:10am On Mar 05 |
Dangers of vehicle upgrade.
Recently, it has become a new wave of excitement sweeping through the vehicle industry with the practice of vehicle upgrade. Mechanics and panel beaters are cashing out big time oblivious or intentional about the problems being created in the long run. I ask,how does one upgrade vehicle body and interior features without putting into consideration the years of research carried out by the vehicle maker to achieve a near safety design? Non existent consideration! Now below are the immediate know disadvantages a vehicle upgrade would cost you and your safety would be highly compromised while at the wheel.
*vehicle weight disruption damage Simply put, altering the factory weight of your vehicle without corresponding chasis reinforcement may prove fatal as it may affect acceleration, maneuverability and braking. Also,an upgrade is guaranteed to put more strain on vehicle engine.
*Vehicle aerodynamic design damage. Vehicles are built and tested in air tunnels to ensure the body design provides the least wind resistance against air drag. But with an upgrade, that design is hugely disrupted and drag ensured.
*Vehicle electronics damage Every vehicle carries its own special wiring system encoded straight into the vehicles ECM(brainbox). Now what do you think will always happen the moment that setting is disrupted? Please don't let mechanics fool you!
*Vehicle braking system imbalance. The moment a vehicles ECM is tampered with, malfunctions are definitely going to occur intermittently. One of those malfunctions can be a delayed ECM/ABS response during emergency braking which will lead to a drag in stopping distance.
*Vehicle interior/exterior mismatch. Very funny looking vehicles because the interior hardly meets the exterior.
Be wise and say no to vehicle upgrade.

Premiumbuy: Premium peace Be Unto You
The example you gave is vague; what did the man do? Those children will beat me up just because I got married to their mother. How does that even sound to you. I know I'm not going to take care of kids that are not mine, because they have their father as well, and that'll be something we would have discussed before getting married. I'll tell you this for free, " Beating me up" will be the last thing they would do. ITK...no worry, you go still learn the hard way. |

Bizmind95: It's opening a Bet9ja center sir, that's a goldmine especially if you find a perfect busy location, where the service is lacking, like my current base. No thank you but this is not a good business plan. I chose to reply you with my company account so you know I am a serious investor. What my company Merry Options limited does here in Anambra is to finance profitable micro businesses while jointly reaping profits by negotiating a lifetime percentage or part time percentage. Betting business is definitely not on our financing list. |
