It is difficult to believe. It sounds very strange. It was totally out of place. I tried to understand it, but I could not. It is so weird that it beats amazement. I tried so much to look for an excuse to rationalize this absurdity, but I could not find one. I found it difficult to fathom, much less believe that Gov. Ademola Adeleke and his cabinet could be this insensitive and careless. It really beats my imagination. And I am disappointed that a government that has one’s support could commit this kind of egregious error.

The first insensitive act by Governor Ademola Adeleke was his interview on the BBC where the language of communication by His Excellency was Igbo Language! A governor of a Yoruba State speaking the language that his people do not understand. He did not even try to mix it with some Yoruba Language. That reflects a mindset that does not give a damn about what the Yoruba people of Osun State think. I watched the BBC interview from the beginning to the end and there was not a single statement I could understand.

We are all aware that he has Igbo blood in his veins, courtesy of Lady Nnena Esther -Adeleke. But we were trusting that the trajectory of his father, Senator Raji Ayoola Adeleke, would be instructive and guide him in his years of service as Osun State Governor. Late Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke was here before too. We never had issues of insensitivity or actions that look like a sell-out.

And now, our Osun Osogbo Festival is being handed to an Igbo man. In Osogbo, a Yoruba city. In Yoruba State. In Yoruba Land! This is simply because we have a man we assumed is one of us, but sees himself as an Igbo, as a governor? What kind of message is he sending to us as Yoruba, that we are stupid for giving him the benefit of the doubt?

A purported letter signed by one Oyindamola Olukanni, under the designation of Media Manager Osun Osogbo, which must have gone through the Office of the Governor, with Kabiyesi Ataoja being used as a prop, is threatening brimstone and fire, over the control of information regarding the 0sun Osogbo 2024. Though, I find the threat toothless because it will not stand a chance in the court of Law if I violate. My lawyer has assured me.

But the point of concern is that as a Yoruba man, whose culture and tradition is being celebrated, I have to go through an Igbo man by the name Wilson Chibututu, to get the so-called permission! What a travesty! What an audacity! What a disrespect!

This is a Yoruba State, if I must state the obvious. This is Yoruba city. This is Yoruba land. And this is Yoruba tradition and culture we are discussing here. I would not say because I have so many friends in this government, and I would refuse to tell them the truth. This is bad policy and dangerous optics, as well as consequential politics!

It is disrespectful. It is insulting. It is insensitive. And it is uncalled for. It is contemptuous. Very discourteous. An egregious impertinence. This is daring. This act could be characterized as “what are you gonna do about it?” type. But we wait to see!

It is my hope that the unwise letter would be withdrawn, and a public apology offered to the citizens of Osun State.

Gov. Ademola Adeleke was elected to serve Osun State indigenes, not to give our resources to outsiders when our own people are in search of same. And not to speak the language we do not understand.

This is a line that could not, would not, should not, and must not be crossed. Our people DO NOT LIKE IT.

BREAKING: RUSSIAN MPs HEAD TO UNITED NATIONS TO APPEAL ‘US BIOLABS’ IN AFRICA

According to RT, the Russian State Duma (the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia) is preparing an appeal to the UN regarding the alleged activity of US military biolaboratories in Africa, Deputy Chairman Aleksandr Babakov has said. 

In an interview with Russian media on Wednesday, Babakov stated that Africa should not be used as a “testing ground” by Washington.  

According to the MP, the US is continuing “racist colonial policies towards the people of Africa.” Political elites in Washington lecture the world on democracy, while simultaneously deploying troops in sovereign states and instigating color revolutions, Babakov claimed.

He asserted that these actions have now escalated to conducting experiments on humans and creating biolaboratories as the US military seeks to engineer new weapons. 

“This issue needs to be addressed at the UN Security Council, and we are currently preparing an appropriate appeal to the UN,” the Russian lawmaker stated.  

Babakov also mentioned plans to reach out to the parliaments of African countries, to provide them with evidence of bioresearch conducted by the US. 
 
On Tuesday, the head of Russia’s Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, claimed that Washington is expanding its biological military presence across Africa. He highlighted Africa as a new zone of interest for the US Defense Department and related agencies.  

“Because Russia has managed to halt the implementation of biological warfare programs in Ukraine’s liberated territories, the Pentagon is forced to transfer incomplete research under Ukrainian projects to other regions,” Kirillov alleged. Russia has documents confirming the rapid expansion of the US biological warfare presence in Africa, the general added.

For instance, the DSS has 37 state directors. Ot this number, 26 were northeners before President Tinubu came on board in May 2023. As at today, we now have 18 Northerners and 19 Southerners.
Tinubu reshuffled them very quietly. Now, in the South, we now have-
6 from South-east
5 from South-south
8 from South-west

DSS has 6 functioning directorates. Before President Tinubu came on board, all
the 6 directorates were headed by Northerners !!! He quietly reshuffled them, and now each geopolitical zone has a control over a directorate. Dr Peter Afunnaya, the brilliant mind I have opportuned to meet on several occasions now represents his zone, the Southeast as a Director.

Let us support President Tinubu, because he means well and he will balance the power equation for all of us to take pride of being Nigerians. If you are a Southerner working against President Tinubu, something must be wrong with your view and your thinking.

That is why I always get offended when Southerners will be abusing President Tinubu and even prefer a Northerner like Atiku ( who is the largest African estate investment owner in Dubai) to President Tinubu, or siding Obi to disparage the same Judiciary whom Obi had benefitted from as a former Governor.

They would post Southerners only as commisioners of police to places like the NPA, Airport, Railway, Police schools etc but not state commands !!!

Northerners now occupy 18 slots while the
Southerners now have19 !!!

Let us be praying for President Tinubu my people. He will balance the power equation that has been tilted against Southern Nigeria for decades. The success of Nigeria under President Tinubu is for us all as a Country.

Surely, he cannot be doing all these and the North will side with him. That is why they are doing everything to truncate his administration !!! All the problems President Tinubu is addressing now were caused by the former President Buhari !!

Not less than 18 of his (Buhari’s) ministers are quietly returning the money they stole from the last administration including Mohammed Bello (FCT Minister) Hadi Sirika (Aviation), Shehu Malami (former Attorney General and Minister of Justice), Hadjia Saudatu (former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs), Mallam Bello (the former Accountant General of the Federation) and the complete rogue of Buhari’s tenure, Mr Godwin Emefiele !!! These people were 'made' by the sheer nepotism and grand corruption that defined the Buhari regime.

The same regime produced a recharge card seller in 2015 who was so close to President Buhari that he became a multi-billionaire by 2023 and posted as a Director of a powerful government agency (the NIA) to London as the former administration was handing over to President Tinubu !!!
