Politics / Re: PMS: NNPCL Should Revert To Old Price, Allow Dangote To Operate – Ishaq Akintola by Metrofox(m): 12:34pm On Sep 07
Quest7777:

Nigerians are suffering because of combined ineptitude of Tinubu and Buhari. Tinubu's regime alone has seen fuel price rise from below ₦200 to over ₦1000.

Because of his selfish emilokan ambition, Tinubu packaged an incompetent Buhari for Nigerians and watched him crumble the Economy for 4years +another 4years, so that he would take his turn to rule.

Unfortunately, the damage Buhari did, is almost beyond repair and not something that can be remedied soon, definitely not by somebody like Tinubu.

Politics / Re: How Peter Obi Planned To Remove Subsidy. (picture) by Metrofox(m): 12:28pm On Sep 07
Throwback:
Is September 2022 more recent than January 2023 when it was just 1month to the election he lost to Tinubu, and he made the below vow to remove subsidy immediately?

The day Nigerians decide that they cannot live without fuel subsidy, Peter Obi who believes in subsidy removal on the 1st day in office would not be their choice, so stop trying to force it.

No consumer would deliberately purchase an expired product that Peter Obi represents.

Unlike Peter Obi, Omoyele Sowore vowed not to remove subsidy, but only about 14,000 Nigerians voted for him, the least of which came from the SouthEast who preferred to vote their tribal brother at almost 100%, so no votes left for any other candidate to score in the SouthEast.

22million Nigerians voted for Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi who all vowed to remove subsidy, instead of Sowore.

Elections do have consequences.

you're a stoopid person, why should they vote another person when that is all they have been doing since time immemorial. Was it not the turn of the SE to produce president? you cunning sly bassterdz , Idiots everywhere grin

Travel / Re: UK-Based Nigerian Woman Relocating Back To Nigeria For "Better Quality Of Life" by Metrofox(m): 3:42pm On Aug 30
DaddyCoool:

Well, we just HATE to be told anything negative about abroad. It's like someone busting your dream
The fact is the people on both sides of the argument are arguing from two diverging perspectives. just like the story of blind men touching an elephant and asked to describe it. The two parties can never agree, people here are fighting for the very basic needs of life, people in abroad are passed that stage and are searching for self actualization and social status.

Nigeria means different things to the two different people, for someone who lives abroad all their live , it's an escape from racism, psychological trauma, brings happy memories of many smiling uncles and aunties who came to eat and get presents/ favors from your 'rich abroad' father. Boys calling you fine geh and chasing you round the clock that you even have a roster, endless high society parties because you obviously are in an elite social class different from back in UK, the list goes on. But for those of us born here... well, I rest my case

Maybe part of it. Maybe facing people everyday whose real hair you're wearing as fake. Maybe racism. But her stated reasons are weather and expensive-ness

You dey follow woman mouth? of course she won't state the real reasons , how come our brothers are also not complaining about this same things? It's time we start ignoring all these girls with their wahala.

Plus weather (like she kept saying), plus she can wear here fake her without facing those to whom it is their natural hair cheesy. It's a no brainer

I really feel for them when it comes to this. Must be psychologically traumatizing for them to be made fun of during arguments

But gives u food for thought. Despite having citizenship and knowing both countries well, she chose Nigeria. Don't you wonder there must be something chasing her?
Guy below summarizes it well:

There's nothing chasing her, na man she dey come find. What are the prospects for a single black woman in Nigeria and abroad especially when you have a foreign passport
