(Shortened)


Welcome To Metrobox Nigeria,

To ensure quality service delivery as desired, we have a shortened Terms of Service you should consider going through before making transactions with us.

As earlier stated, the following highlights are summarised Terms of Service on all our offerings.



Ordering

Ordering as one of MetroBox sub-services, entails:

1. The assessment of links being sent.

2. The receival of payment according to the checkout fee and our given rate (which may be subject to change; which will also be communicated duly) from client(s).

3. Making the purchase for item(s) after confirming payment from client(s)

Once links are being sent, they are subject to verification to ensure that you are buying the original item, if otherwise, we will inform you, and if you choose to go ahead with such link, we will proceed to check-out, but we will be absolved of taking responsibilities as a result of what may be.

Also this verification purpose will also consider if it is a link which may be used to perpetrate any form of fraud. If it is confirmed to be so, we will decline making such purchases, just as we will equally decline if the item is termed illegal/contraband in Nigeria. We do these in good faith to not only protect our reputation, but to also save the organisation from avoidable mishaps.
We reserve the right to equally decline a link if we discover that the seller's review and credibility are questionable which may in turn cause us avoidable challenges.

MetroBox Nigeria also takes order requests and ships them to client's address in the USA. i.e while making the purchase, we can insert the USA address of our client if they have one and prefer to go ahead with their logistics from the USA to Nigeria.

NB : We don't take orders on Bids & Offers.

We receive payment through only the following recognised means : Bank Transfer, Bank Deposit & Card Payments. However, we will be confirming payments from our end before we go ahead to make the purchase.
We make the purchase and send you confirmation details of the purchase.

Shipping fee gets paid separately when the item gets to Nigeria.



Merchant Delivery

Merchant Delivery entails how the ecommerce website/Merchant we are making the procurement intends to deliver item(s), when and the duration it may take. At times, there is an estimated/approved date on the purchase page to give a clue. However the Merchant Delivery duration is quite different from the Shipping duration of 7-15 working days we offer. The shipping date only begins counting when the merchant has made delivery to our address and our next set of parcels are ready to ship.



Logistic Offerings

Logistic Offering as a subservice which entails collecting already purchased item(s) by client and shipping it down to Nigeria. In this case, the client has to provide some credentials for verification and record purposes:

1. The store item(s) was bought from
2. Proof of payment
3. Valid ID bearing same with name given and
4. Original residential address

We shall not tolerate fraudulent items. We reserve the right to either seize or damage them on discovery. If it eventually gets discovered on entering Nigeria. Client shall bear full responsibility of whatever consequences the local authorities may spell out.

This subservice is exclusive to the USA and the UK alone.


Shipping & Shipping Duration

As explained above, Shipping duration is between 7-15 working days (approx 2-3 work weeks). Our consignment (items in general) are packaged for assessment by Transport Security Administration by 12pm on Thursdays and then they ship on Fridays (most often) i.e if merchant delivers item before it gets packaged on Thursday, it is likely to ship on Friday, however if merchant delivery comes later, there is a less likelihood of such item(s) shipping along with Friday's shipment.

It is important to note that we use shipping companies and we don't personally have freight cargos, hence we only get update about the progress of shipping from these shipping companies and in some cases there may be long-stretched delays as a result of one or two issues from the shipping company which we may not have total control over; in such instances, we give updates according to what we get from the shipping company which may be based on their estimations. During periods like these, we urge clients to be patient and we will not be subject to instantaneous demands for refund. Refunds are only made based on our discretion or according to a flout on our end in our Terms of Service.



Arrival Of Items In Nigeria/Custom Clearance

Freight cargos are usually expected in Nigeria within the 7-15 working days time frame after which it will undergo custom clearance which takes roughly 2-4 working days if things are alright.
It is on arrival of items in Nigeria that we are able to calculate shipping costs according to the current ₦/$ exchange rate of that moment i.e Shipping Cost is calculated based on the current exchange market while Order Cost is calculated based on the rate we offer to buy the items on the e-commerce websites.

Our Standard Shipping rates according to items are :


$20/lbs for cell phones.

$35/lbs minimum for perfumes below 6lbs

and $6.5/lbs per lbs if more than 6lbs.

$6.5/lbs applies to all items considered HAZMAT (toxic chemicals, fuels, nuclear waste products, and biological, chemical, and radiological agents).

And $5/lbs for every other item.



Waybill

Once items have been cleared from custom and they are in our possession, we contact you {our client(s)} to pay a token to get your item(s) down to your location/doorstep which is usually dependent on the state you reside in the country.



Payment of Merchant

We pay merchants on behalf of our clients as a distinct sub-service i.e we help clients make payments to their merchants anywhere in the world in & out-side ecommerce websites. You simply send us the money and payment address and then we make payments and send payment confirmation details to you. We shall not be responsible for anything outside the payment process.



Damages/Lost Item(s) In Transit

In our process right from order to waybill to your doorstep, we are usually extra careful to ensure that your item(s) are safe and come in original form. However, there are isolated cases whereby an item gets damaged/lost. We shall take full responsibility for this.
It is important to note that any damage discovered should be reported immediately on arrival of the item. Failure to assess items for external damages on items' arrival shall invalidate such complaint and absolve us of any responsibility role we may have had to play.



Inverted Procurements

Inverted procurement expressly means a situation whereby the procured item didn't come in the exact form as described on the ecommerce website which is not in any way a result of handling during the shipping process. It also covers items that totally look different from procured items i.e not the item put on the site was what got delivered.
In cases such as these, we will check through our records to confirm that it was the link sent to us was the link that got processed, if after we made this verification and it is valid, we shall not be responsible for anything, we can only volunteer on our own volition and/or proffer possible solutions which may help resolve the situation; if otherwise after checking through records, and it is invalid, we shall take full responsibility for such cases.

This guy seriously doesn't know what customer service is, you have been lying all along. You don't have an office or any pick up center because you know your shitty service and lying nature will put you in grave danger. You still haven't told your clients why items shipped on the 28th Dec is already undergoing customs clearance, while items shipped before then are nowhere to be found. You sound like you don't even have the tracking no and you don't even know where the items are. It's either they never left the US or they have been siezed. How come you are the only person having this delay till now, I checked the thread of the other guys offering the same service and there's sanity there. They keep delivering and not making silly excuses. You don't deliver on time, you hardly know the location of your items, it takes you forever to reply whats app chats. Everything about you is zero. It's so obvious I made a mistake looking your way, I did look your way cos my regular shipper had too many orders and I thought he won't deliver on time, but alas, he delivered and keeps on delivering. Continue with your lies and shitty customer service and see how far that will take you.

So after ordering my Desktop from Metro box, it was delayed an extra 1week. At first Metro box shipped the first one. I was sure Metro box was shipping 7-10 working days..I ordered all my desktop parts from one place, and it was delivered half and half. We where still talking when he hanged up the phone on me(to hell with me I guess). Well I waited extra 7 days and after some few more days, I got my product. About 1k$ was spent. He told me that things where fixed, so I decided to try him again and ordered a phone from him. I was very certain it was 7-10 working days before he changed it. Waited for the product, he even knew he was late and kept telling me he will compensate me, I was shocked when he told me my item arrived on item at exactly 15 working days. It was as if I saw a ghost. Plus their shipping fee is 6$ actually expensive compared to others, and they don't reply WhatsApp messages. Maybe too much clients, it takes them hours sometimes, so you need to be patient or find another shipper. I ordered awifi card, but uptill now the card has magically disappeared, for over 2 months now the card is nowhere to be found.
My experience with them was fair

Communication= 1star
Deliver as promised= 2.5 stars
Recommended to others= 3 stars
Overall rating (3 stars) over 5.

Not spectacular, not terrible. Just there.
I hope this helps them improve.i will try to ship one more with them, if all goes well, I will come back to update my comment and rate them better . Metro box is still cheaper when shopping but not when shipping, but I wouldn't want to wait for ages to get my item
