yeah right... TWoods: Your life is not under threat in Nigeria. Yes we should all act like saints, it would spare us the current embarrassment of treating applications for visas to the US as a life and death issue. |

you right though.. I really dont know what to say at this point. maybe i should just chill till i have some huge sum in my acct before i apply for it. Mancala: I may not be a visa expert, but I can offer you some insight. U.S. immigration law requires consular officers to view every visa applicant as an intending immigrant until the applicant proves otherwise. Every applicant is presumed to be an intending immigrant and must prove that they will return to their homeland when their permitted stay runs out. My question to you is this. How does someone else sponsoring your trip in its entirety help prove that you will return to your home country at then end of your visit? Does this really help your application? If I were you, I would focus on establishing ties to which the VO is bound by law rather than relying solely on proving finances to which they can excercise discretion. |

wow...what can i say..i think its just luck and favour like u said... I dont have plans of staying more than 2-3weeks cos of my business..I'm scared they might not grant me the visa cos i dont have huge sum in my account...I'm yet to apply though..What would u advice I do? dobosky: You will get but just luck. Let me give you two instance. A childhood friend of mine came to me to help him process u.s visa. I did all the documentation but he and his wife had no travel history and statement of account wasn't good . He went and got the family visa. Just after 3 months, Another of my big boss came to me to process his family visa, he also hasn't travel before but this time he is a multi-millionaires with houses in choice area in Abuja, PH and Lagos. His account balance when he went to the embassy was 80million and total 6months was 260million naira but he and his family were denied visa...lol So you see how difficult it is sometimes. But having good traveling history already give you 50% chance. |

What about a situation whereby you already have someone sponsoring your trip; accommodation, feeding, flight ticket, everything and you provide proof and also invitation letter from the person..Will they still deny you the visa? Spanishmilf: At this point your stay or your money is not an issue, the last 2 years of your denial what your travel history like if there is no visa stamp on your international passport don't waste money on visa money, toss the money to me tho lol |

very valid point. well ultimatebas: SEASON GREETINGS EVERYONE
For all y'all claiming asylum on homosexuality grounds i think your time is up. The society frowns at homosexuality doesn't mean homosexuals aren't tolerated in Nigeria. You are claiming to be a lesbian. Have you heard of Bobrisky the popular homosexual, transverstile and cross dresser. He walks around freely with no one harassing him(I even saw him once at a shopping mall with some of his fans). Do you feel Canadian Immigration doesn't know about Bobrisky and other homosexuals?
If you want to migrate to Canada, do the right thing. Pay for IELTS(International English Language Testing System) it cost about 75k which is less than the cost of an approved US visa(40700 + 56000). I have read your write up ,your english ain't bad if you can write that way.
My observation is that for every wrong approach of doing things ,there are twice legitimate ways of achieving same result. We Nigerians should learn how to do things rightly because our reputation outside is bad |
