YourVoice.NG helps Nigerian citizens influence government policy and decisions by providing a platform for them to share their feedback through surveys and opinion polls. According to the sources, the platform facilitates this influence in several ways: Generating National Insight: By registering and participating in surveys, citizens contribute to "meaningful national insight" that represents their communities. Informing Policymakers: The platform collects "real public insight" to help governments and policymakers understand how citizens feel about issues affecting their everyday lives, which in turn helps shape better decisions and policies. Targeting Key Policy Areas:Citizens can provide feedback on specific, high-impact topics through featured surveys, such as: Government Spending Satisfaction: Measuring how satisfied citizens are with the management of public funds. Fuel Subsidy Removal: Tracking the effects of this policy on citizens' private lives. Public Trust in Institutions: Measuring confidence in governance, justice, and public service delivery. Government Approval and Performance: Evaluating overall government management of national affairs. Strengthening the Collective Voice: The platform emphasizes that increased participation leads to "stronger and more accurate" insights, allowing citizens to work together to build a better Nigeria. Ultimately, https://YourVoice.NG acts as a bridge, ensuring that the "pulse of Nigeria" is captured and shared with those in power to drive data-informed governance.

Please support this public opinion platform for Nigeria by registering and taking part in the surveys that matter to you. Your response can help show what citizens are thinking and feeling across the country. Join here: https://yourvoice.ng Nigeria is a nation of diverse perspectives, experiences, and ideas. Yet too often, the everyday opinions of citizens are not fully heard when important decisions are made. This platform exists to change that. It provides a space where Nigerians from all walks of life can share their views on the issues that shape the country’s future from the economy and education to public services, governance, and community wellbeing. Our mission is simple: to amplify the voice of the people and turn public opinion into meaningful insight that can guide better decisions. By gathering the thoughts and experiences of citizens across the nation, we help build a clearer picture of what Nigerians truly think, need, and expect from those who lead and serve them. When you take part in our surveys and polls, you do more than answer questions. You contribute to a growing body of public insight that can help policymakers, community leaders, researchers, and governments at all levels better understand the realities people face every day. Reliable public opinion data helps decision-makers identify priorities, measure public sentiment, and design policies that reflect the real needs of the population. Participation matters because strong societies are built on informed decisions. When leaders have access to accurate and representative feedback from citizens, they are better equipped to develop policies that improve lives, strengthen institutions, and build trust between governments and the people they serve. Your voice represents more than just an opinion it represents the experience of a citizen, a community, and a nation. Every response helps create a clearer national picture and ensures that public dialogue reflects the views of ordinary Nigerians, not just a few loud voices.

Well done - at least someone is trying to do something. We did this back in 2004 http://www.nigeriancomputersociety.com/gov/ as a demo on our own bespoke CMS - you can use some of the content if you want. If you planning on doing something for the government - I suggest you build a CMS from ground up - easy to do - that meets their needs. Most people would say why build a CMS? why not use something like wordpress, drupa, joomla, umbraco, etc. I have my reasons - least of all security. I am a great believer in using home-grown talents for this type of projects - I am sure we have good developers in Nigeria. Another template we create recently to showcase a typical state level website can be found here http://projects.creotec.com/dev/oyostatec - copy ans use if you wish. I am happy to support you guys. It's very encouraging to see at last Nigerians embracing the collaboration spirit for the good of the country. Remember though - the easiest thing is to design the website and develop the CMS - what will make the website useful is content. This I am afraid can only be done if and when you have the right local team in place (in Nigeria) to find, aggregate and maintain the website. Lastly - don't be too eager to add all those so called social media stuff - focus first on content for these groups - citizens, businesses, visitors and government. Tailor your website to the needs of potential website visitors. Enough said. Visit direct.gov.uk, etc has others have suggested. PS: We created the first ever mobile direct.gov.uk at http://ukgov.mobi/ (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directgov) using UK government's syndication API back in 2010 and we have also started playing with creating a single search gateway to all UK government website - see prototype at http://projects.creotec.com/dev/gov-it/ - doing this was easy because we did not have to think too much about the content - just technology ![]() Michael G @CREOTEC tm Our new plaything: Get your personal contact page at http://socially.at |
