1. Implement a proper way disposal and collection strategy. Implement massive orientation push on the effect of littering everywhere with waste in homes, streets, garages, bus stops, market, business places and co.

2. Put Trash bins in all strategic places in Lagos, like every 10m. In market places, bus stop, garage, walkway, public space, etc

3. Morning, afternoon and evening automated cleaning and collection of waste across Lagos roads and public places

4. Increase the number of waste collection trucks, They should visit homes, restaurants and other business places 3 times a week. Factories can be more

5. Decentralize waste management to LOcal government level and let them issue licenses to more investors that will bridge the gap.. It’s a serious business with great value chain to recycling level

6. Improve the payment strategy, more of subscription based. Heavy sanctions if the fees aren’t paid, note it should be affordable

7. Criminalize littering and improper waste disposal, even burning of waste.
It should attract serious immediate fine.

8. Implement a Cleaner Lagos initiative, which makes a cleaner environment a must.

It’s a sad day in the faculty of education, University of Lagos as the newly elected president of the Nigerian university Education Students Association (NUESA) 2025/26 Academic session, Mr. Balogun Damilola Raphael passed away after his body was seen today 48 hours after he reportedly got drown while swimming at Eleko beach during an hangout event to celebrate the successful handover done at the faculty from the previous tenure to theirs on Wednesday 17th September 2025. He literally spent less than 24 hours as the president of the faculty student association.

This is a huge blow to the whole University community and the prayer is for the lord to accept his soul.
