Crime / Re: Harassed By Nigerian Policemen by Michellej(f): 11:23am On Feb 07, 2006
You are so right, what if it happens to a person that doesn't know anyone? Nigerian police i have to say are one of the worst in the world if not the worst. The way they go about harrassing innocent people is so un-called for and really its about time something is done to stop them. Going to Naija soon, and I'm so ready for all those criminals called "Police Officers".

Guess you are right.
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 4:49pm On Jan 11, 2006
Yeah, i understand exactly what you mean...........and you are right but hey it still does not justify the lies does it?
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 4:42pm On Jan 11, 2006
Okay, you said something about the girl bringing home a guy that drives okada, to start off with, where would she have met a man that drives okada? i personally think that people generally date/go out with people within their circle or don't they? Hence the proverb " Birds of the same feathers flock together".
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 4:37pm On Jan 11, 2006
@Yummy; hahahahahahahahahahaha, very true about the okada thing, but as i said before; don't birds of the same feathers flock together?
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 11:31am On Jan 11, 2006
yep, you're totally right spikedcylinder.
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 11:26am On Jan 11, 2006
i totally agree with you there....
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 11:11am On Jan 11, 2006
Another thing that really irritates me about guys back home is the fact that they believe that they can just get any girl they want..............its like they have no regards for girls and just think all girls are they same.
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 10:53am On Jan 11, 2006
hahahahahahahaha, just came back from where exactly? Jail? What an absolute nutter!!!! some guys feel that by using that " I just came back" BS, they stand a good chance of getting the girl, but half the time some of these guys have never even been out of Lagos.
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 10:41am On Jan 11, 2006
But then i would not exactly go out of my way to look for a man who earn more than would I? what do they say about "Birds of the same feathers flocking together" obviously i would move and date people within my own circle wouldn't I?
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 10:33am On Jan 11, 2006
@Yummy; i have to disagree with you there, not all girls are after money you know...............I personally believe that there is nothing a man can do for me that i can't do for myself, hence the reason i work hard to make the money i make.  To be honest with you, i get turned off by men that feel the need to flash their money around or in my office in order to impress me.
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 10:30am On Jan 11, 2006
Hahahahahahahahaaha, sure its an Island..........
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 4:45pm On Jan 10, 2006
True, i totally get your point but i still find it hard to see the justification in men lying........Anyways, i've got friends that are exactly the same, its all about how big your wallet is, what your last name is and what area you reside in.........Guess some girls are partly to blame for all these right?
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 4:36pm On Jan 10, 2006
Hahahahahahahaha, nice one..........so she is still with this guy who she thinks is loaded and all that.........I know what you mean about guys lying cos they are forced to do so, but it still does not justify the lies does it? So would the guy stick his hands in fire simply cos he is trying to impress a girl? Nope i don't think so...........Its best when people like you for you and not for what you can offer them.
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 3:47pm On Jan 10, 2006
Yeah, i guess its something some of them find easy to do...........what about the guys in Nigeria? they crack me up!!!! its like they say all kinds of BS just to impress a girl.....My father ownes this and my father ownes that, if that is the case, i might as well go out with your father and not you...............Men need to learn that lying simply doesn't pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 3:32pm On Jan 10, 2006
I suppose you're right; its like an everyday thing for men, lying comes easy for them i guess. Do you know that i once dated a guy for a year not knowing that he had a girl he had been dating for two years.................madness abi?? He was an excellent liar, always had an answer for every question.
Crime / Re: Harassed By Nigerian Policemen by Michellej(f): 2:09pm On Jan 10, 2006
I was in Nigeria(Lagos) on holiday Feb last year with my cousin and a couple of other friends.....anyways, whilst out one night, we got stopped by the police(who we initially thought were armed robbers). Upon stopping us, the police officer ordered all of us 4 girls out of the car..........we obliged cos we thought it would be best. Next thing, he orders us to open our bags because apparently they had just gotten a report that 4 girls that matched our description had come to rob at a near-by shop.............hahahahahahahahaha how ridiculous was that? My cousin was so angry that she started shouting at the police officer demanding whether the tiny handbags(pouches) looked big enough for us to have put the stolen money in? I was just so shocked and amazed that i stood there laughing...........My two friends ignored them and got back in the car while my cousin just kept shouting at them, telling them to P**s off!, the officers must have been shocked by her reaction cos they just told us to go away with our wahala.....................

Another time i was in the car on my way to festac, the car gets stopped by two female and one one male police officer.......one of the female officers took it upon herself to question the driver, asking all sorts of foolish questions from: driving license, seat belt to fire extinguisher............hello people i didn't know drivers in nigeria were required to have fire extinguishers in their cars.........anyways when the driver told her he didn't have one, she jumps in the passenger seat and orders the driver to drive to the police station. The driver looks at me and i replied " yeah thats fine, lets go".... about five mins away, the officer orders the driver to stop the car, she turns to me and starts begging for money!!!!!!!people i was surprised cos i didn't know the police could be that blantant in begging for money. Anyways i decided to play hard, i told her " you know what, i think i probably know the officer you want to take us to see, so i would like to see him again cos its been a long time i saw him" she just kept saying " there is no need madam, lets just settle it here". At the end i ended up giving her just 200 naira, which she showed great appreciation for.................

To top it up, when i was on my way back to london, at the airport the custom officers told me not to bother opening my suitcase, they said i should just slip some money in the middle of my passport..................WoW!!!!!!!!! what is our great country turning into?

I love Nigeria to bits, but i get worried coming over cos of those criminals called "Police Officers"!!!!!
Romance / Re: Why Do Men Lie? by Michellej(f): 1:48pm On Jan 10, 2006
Hahahahahahahaha, this is so funny..............To be honest, its not only men that lie. Whilst i was in boarding school in Nigeria, quiet a few of the girls lied about their lives, infact one went as far as denying her father simply because he came to visit her with a Ghana must-go bag!!!! I know it sounds ridiculous but some of the girls i went to school with always made up stories just to gain popularity. I remember another girl claiming that during a party in their house all the taps where pouring out with Coca-cola, Fanta to mention but a few; reason for this? she said they didn't want to bother getting the bottles when people could just take them straight out of the taps..............hahahahahahahaha!

yeah i do miss him when we are not together but at the same time i feel like there is still so much out there for me. Not sure if i am being greedy but i just feel like i want More!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Its really bad as well when I go to Nigeria on holiday, so many guys chasing after you and all that; to be honest i don't understand the whole relationship/marriage thing, but i hope that i do soon..............
Family / Re: Married and Engaged Members Thread by Michellej(f): 12:01pm On Nov 10, 2005
i am not married yet; but in a serious relationship(we live together and all that). Most tiimes i feel like i need my freedom, want to still do things i did when i was single, its like i feel like once i get married i am going to get very bored of the whole thing. We argue a lot too so i am not sure if that is a good thing.

TV/Movies / Re: Most Handsome Nigerian Actors by Michellej(f): 4:24pm On Nov 09, 2005
to be honest i am not sure whether i dislike him or whether he just irritates me; the fact that he tries so hard to speak like an American really does my head in.
TV/Movies / Re: Most Handsome Nigerian Actors by Michellej(f): 2:29pm On Nov 09, 2005
how can anyone possibly like that bloody nuisance called Jim Iyke? The guy does not even keep it real; why does he try to speak like an American? he is an absolute idiot.
