Hey Nairaland fam 👋 I launched a simple tool called Gogple AI a while ago, and without running ads or having a big team, I’ve gotten 836 users so far — and counting. Here’s exactly what I did and how the tool can benefit you, especially if you're a creator, student, business owner, or developer. 🧠 What Is GogpleAI? GogpleAI is an all-in-one AI chat tool — like ChatGPT, but tailored to real needs in Africa and beyond. You can use it to: ✅ Write blog posts, essays, sales copies, captions ✅ Get help with coding, debugging, or tech questions ✅ Translate between languages (including Nigerian languages!) ✅ Generate ideas for business, content, and school projects ✅ Create custom GPTs for your niche use ✅ Access built-in tools like resume writer, image generator, and more 🧩 How I Got 836 Users Here’s the strategy I used: Built in public – I shared daily updates on Twitter/X about my progress, challenges, and behind-the-scenes. Posted on communities – Like x community, Product Hunt, Indie Hackers, and Reddit. Free plan – I let people use it without asking for payment upfront. That built trust. Added real use cases – People don’t care about “AI” unless it solves something. I focused on things like: Writing CVs Helping creators with video ideas Translating for content in local dialects Assisting with schoolwork 🧰 Use Cases of GogpleAI 💼 For Business Owners – Generate ads, Instagram captions, product descriptions 🧑🎓 For Students – Get homework help, translate materials, write essays faster 🎥 For Creators – Video scripts, YouTube titles, and TikTok ideas 💻 For Developers – Fix bugs, generate code, or explain complex topics 🌍 For Nigerians – Local-friendly, accessible on mobile, works without VPNs 🚀 Enjoy the 3 days free trial You can try it here: https://gogpleai.com Let me know if you want me to show you how to use it for your specific goals. Thanks for reading — happy to answer any questions! |
I wanted to share a little story about a project I’ve been working on for a while. I built a platform called GogpleAI.com, it lets you chat with an AI (like ChatGPT), generate images, and summarize long PDFs. I created it mostly for myself at first, to help with writing and reading tasks. The idea came from personal pain points, I was tired of switching between multiple tools to get things done. One for summarizing PDFs, another for chatting, another for design mockups. So I thought: why not put them in one place? Challenges I faced: 🔹 Cost of API access – AI tools are expensive on the backend. I had to balance quality vs affordability. 🔹 Performance on mobile – Many users are on low-end phones. I had to optimize the speed heavily. 🔹 Trust – People assume anything with “AI” is a scam or hype. So getting honest feedback was tough. Right now, it’s still a work in progress. I’m constantly improving it, and learning how people use it. I’m sharing this not to promote, but to connect with other devs or founders here: Have you built anything similar? What challenges did you face in building and launching tools for Nigerians or Africans generally? Would love to hear your thoughts. You can check out the project if you want: Gogpleai.com
