(x/2)^x= 16
(x/2)^x= 2^4
i.e (x/2)= 2 and x=4
x=2 x 2
x = 4
showing dat x = 4
look at as i substitute the value of x
if x = 4
(4/2)^4
(2)^4 = 16
hope my simple explanation will help

emmyeuler1: @Dr HESJAY....consider the form x^a=2^5.....by induction,it can be established dat since both r.h.s and l.h.s have single base each,the base can be equated as well as the exponent or power of each single base on both side .HENCE,x=2 and a=5.

emmyeuler1: if (x/2)^x=16.hence,2^4=(x/2)^x....if the bases are equated,x/2=2 and x=2*2=4.......alternatively, if the powers on both sides are equated,then x=4

then; (X/2)^X=y^X or y^2y
y^X=2^4
therefore, X=4
note dat y must be a prime number...dats y we had 2 find d lcm of 16

For those of u that will start coming to me with provisions for Ramadan, let me inform you that I dont want bornvita this time around coz it makes me sleep a lot, I prefer milo (Baba Sala) coz I need lots of energy, also three crowns milk nauseates me, I prefer peak milk (liquid), its works well for ma body, I dont want milo sardine o, titus sardine (original brand) wa ok, granulated sugar purges me too, St. Louis sugar is better, then dont bring Nasco
cornflakes, I prefer Kellogs. Others include but not limited to Mango and Pineapple juice, Fresh fruits, I don't want agbalumo o! Cartons of Malta Guinness, fresh salad from Mr. Bigg's (I don't really like Cooperative salad, it upsets my tummy), 5crates of fresh eggs with chicken or beef, Vegetable oil, Palm oil and bag of rice. Pls, don't boda urself to make 'Ogi' for me, Hollandias curstard (5bags) ma wapa fun mi.
