The comparison is because Nigerians are paying as much as their US counterparts but earning much less.

More context here: https://www.nairaland.com/8050758/willing-pay-n178000-monthly-24-hour#129254280

It shouldn't cost as much. Us buys part of its power from Canada. But Nigeria sells but still can't provide electricity 247.

I have always said it here, Nigerians that can afford 24 hours electricity already have it

There is no one that wants electricity 24/7 that can't get them

Nigerians want the impossible which is free/cheap and steady electricity... Electricity is luxury and we are too poor for it right now

We don't need electricity for development

There is absolutely no company you can start only when you have electricity 24/7 that u can't start now

How's electricity luxury? you have suffered so much you don't know what basic amenity means

Let's look at the facts on ground.

House 1
Power load = 2000W
Average of 20hrs/day gives 600 hours in a 30 day calendar month.
Power consumption = 2kW * 600h = 1200kWh
Cost of power consumed = ₦225 * 1200 = ₦270,000

House 2
Power load = 2000W
Power is generated using a 2.5 kVA petrol generator. Running wattage is 2000W.
Fuel efficiency = 1.1litres/hour (15 litres in 14 hours at 50% load - generator will consume more if we increase the load but let us stick with this for the purpose of this comparison)
For House 2 to generate 600hrs in a month requires 660L of PMS.
At ₦560/litre, House 2 will spend a sum of ₦369,600 in an attempt to replicate power supply from DISCOs. Maintenance cost has not been factored in these calculations.

A lot of small scale businesses spend up to ₦178,000 monthly running petrol generators.

Power is not cheap!

It's not cheap but its not expensive in western countries either. Why is ours different?

The Tinubu government has just increased electricity cost for band A customers to N225 per KPH.

For context, customers in the US pay about the same cost per KPH (or cheaper) depending on the state you live in.

Energy analysts are explaining that Nigerians are willing to pay more if they have access to electricity.

Based on data from NerdWallet, the average monthly electricity cost in the US is about $137 which is about N178,000.

Are you willing to pay N178,000 monthly for electricity for a 24-hour supply?

Why are we comparing it to US, the minimum wage in us is 13-15 per hour.. 137 is about a day wage.
I am not even sure that 137 is accurate.. Canada is about $50 per month

There is a reason why people fly for this kind trip. I still don't understand why people do this.

I doubt the veracity of this accusation. The man was 72 at the time of the incident.

You can keep a 72 year old man away FOREVER with just 1 finger. Even if said 72-year old man is horrrrny.

I heard this news few months after the series was aired. Probably an old news.

Jewessgratitud3:
There's this lady I've been trying to bring into my line of job, so she's been coming to me for training against next term.

Now she happened to let me into her past and her sad encounter with men. I try as much to encourage her. She now asked me a question about body count and I really don't have any idea how these things are rated. So I told her would get back to her on that.

She asked if 6 Body count is too much for a lady her age. She also explained that for most of the men, the sexual experience was just a few times like twice and the others once before it hits the rocks.

So is it too much or not?

Modified
Look, all these men saying they don't believe women, are you yourselves trustworthy? Women are more truthful if you ask me and if for some reasons they are no longer like before, you men caused it.

It's not

The thing is that they said it’s Eti OSA. What part exactly that’s how we can know if it’s really on a drainage path.

For the past couple of years most of the houses demolished in Lagos are around that area.

The owner might be targeted, but for them to demolish the house, it means the structure was on the wrong place.

Stop defending rubbish

Is it okay when a beautiful house is built on a drainage path?
Because it's beautiful it shouldn't be demolished?

Adeboye has won millions of lives for Christ and you who hasn't won one soul feels it is your job to judge him. At the end of it all he is human and can make mistakes but the grace that covers him is on a far greater level.

You are judging those people you think haven't won any live for Christ. When it comes to Men of God only God can say who truly is serving him.
I am a catholic, it doesn't mean I won't call the pope out if I feel he did something wrong. At the end of the day he is still a Man, so he must err.

Madam, you missed it. You can't correct the govt/leader in public as a Man of God or as a Mallam or Alfa. The govt/leaders respect those Pastors, Alfas, Mallam, etc and they should respect the leaders also. Pastors or Alfas Imam, don't criticize the govt/leaders in public, they can go to them, pray for the leaders, and use the opportunity to talk to them politely about the situation of the country.
After the Supreme God, the govt is the next. As a Man of govt, dealing with the govt needs wisdom to handle it.

Was this how Jesus handled it. Or any of the prophets? This is someone that declared a protest during Jonathan, we didn't see that same energy again Buhari or BAT.

Not in local government.. the only thing that is constant is the continued stealing
Health / Re: Lagos LCDA Approves 100% Pay Rise For Doctors In Phcs by miketayo(m): 3:03am On Feb 17

That's the state's part of it, the LCDA is basically doubling what the state is paying from their own pocket to make it 100% increase.

If what you are saying is true, then another chairman can come and stop paying that extra salary. Plus a phc doesn't have much doctors.
This particular chairman is leaving this year.

You are wrong. Doctors working with Primary Health Care Centers are paid by the Local government.

Don't say what you don't know.. even the permanent staff working for local government are paid from state gov oracle. It's the Governor that decides how much each staff collects.

They receive about 170k for level 8- to 600k plus for level 17
But the chairman doesn't pay their salary, it comes from Lagos state. I don't understand this article. Only the state government can increase their salary
