Car Talk / Re: Interpol/Nigeria Police Setup Checkpoints In Abuja (Is Lagos next?) by mikijagga(m): 2:23pm On Sep 22, 2009
Of course frequent checks and punishment(fine, imprisonment etc) for people who indulge. That would send the right warning signals!

The security checks should go round every bit of this country, and must be done on regular basis too!

That will deter the future wannabes!
Business / Re: Coca-Cola Closes The Last Concentrate Factory In Nigeria by mikijagga(m): 1:27pm On Sep 22, 2009
With every sense of loss for the coca cola move, and the ineptitude of our leaders, I rather think that some measures should be taken to fill the gap.

Shit happens everyday, no need to cry over spilt milk.

Government is listening, moves should be made to lure pepsi or something to start production. One man meat could well be another's poison.

Life goes on.

And then something must be done urgently to fix the power issues. We should be on our toes to be not only on the corrective, but on the proactive.

So help us God!!!!
Business / Re: New Naira Notes! Arabic Is The Reason? by mikijagga(m): 12:03pm On Sep 21, 2009
Hey, !!!

Cut off the name calling game and ask,  is the inscription in Naira notes the prerogative of one man(i.e the CBN Governor) to decide?

If yes, then Sanusi can well put whatever he Chooses.

Nonetheless, we have the NA and House of Rep to call him to explain why he chose to do that, putting our diversity into perspective. It should be something generality (to a large extent) can understand!
Travel / Re: Virgin Nigeria Airways Now Nigerian Eagle Airlines by mikijagga(m): 11:18am On Sep 21, 2009
Whoa, This is serious!!!

What is it?

Why is it that people cannot be proud of their country for once, and give their maximum support. prayer and backing it needs?

Kill the dog by calling it a bad name??

Whatever you call you get!

But this ain't gonna work now cos, Nigerian Eagle Airline will soar high, either you want it or not!

Haba??
Politics / Re: Is Baba Adeboye Too Quiet On Political Issues? by mikijagga(m): 3:10pm On Sep 18, 2009
This question is rather sensitive, and bothers about personality. I will advice that whoever is addressed a man of God, should be given his due respect.

In an open fora like this, you shouldn't even bring up issues like this. We see some kids even beat up their parents. For such, what sort of contribution do you expect? Talking about "washing dirty linen outside". If he flies a rocket, there is nothing anyone can do about it. He who God belssed, no man can curse.

Back to the question, same way a personality like Arch Bishop Okoye, Pastor Chris Okotie and Oniayekan is outspoken about political matters, same should not be applied to everyother personality. Even then, do we really heed to the ones we hear?

If Pastor Adeboye chooses to contribute, good, and if he decides otherwise, I think he should be left alone.

His leadership skills is not in question. With the congregation he pastors, and even for us who watch on TV, this country will be better for it if we follow his preaching,  or you may ask, what sort of message will he be preaching to the congregation(politicians inclusive) apart from turning people to God

We should learn to respect people in authority, thats what we owe ourselves and Nigeria will be better for it.
Business / Re: Sanusi Canvasses Islamic Banking by mikijagga(m): 2:31pm On Sep 01, 2009
The Islamic banking thing will be misconstrued in the nearest future to mean something else in the Nigerian parlance. Forget the fact the idea may<or not> in other economies. Naija is specially blessed with resources to make it pull through her economic woes. Its better to sanitize the system first than to profer another overseas solution. Am curios about all these turn of events!
