Archbishop Viganò wrote a powerful letter to the president of the United States, President Donald Trump; titled: Eternal struggle between good and evil playing out right now. Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò warns the president that the current crises over the Coronavirus pandemic and the George Floyd riots are a part of the eternal spiritual struggle between the forces of good and evil. President Donald Trump shared this information via his official Twitter handle where he wrote "So honored by Archbishop Viganò’s incredible letter to me. I hope everyone, religious or not, reads it"! Holy Trinity Sunday Mr. President, In recent months we have been witnessing the formation of two opposing sides that I would call Biblical: the children of light and the children of darkness. The children of light constitute the most conspicuous part of humanity, while the children of darkness represent an absolute minority. And yet the former are the object of a sort of discrimination which places them in a situation of moral inferiority with respect to their adversaries, who often hold strategic positions in government, in politics, in the economy and in the media. In an apparently inexplicable way, the good are held hostage by the wicked and by those who help them either out of self-interest or fearfulness. These two sides, which have a Biblical nature, follow the clear separation between the offspring of the Woman and the offspring of the Serpent. On the one hand there are those who, although they have a thousand defects and weaknesses, are motivated by the desire to do good, to be honest, to raise a family, to engage in work, to give prosperity to their homeland, to help the needy, and, in obedience to the Law of God, to merit the Kingdom of Heaven. On the other hand, there are those who serve themselves, who do not hold any moral principles, who want to demolish the family and the nation, exploit workers to make themselves unduly wealthy, foment internal divisions and wars, and accumulate power and money: for them the fallacious illusion of temporal well-being will one day – if they do not repent – yield to the terrible fate that awaits them, far from God, in eternal damnation. In society, Mr. President, these two opposing realities co-exist as eternal enemies, just as God and Satan are eternal enemies. And it appears that the children of darkness – whom we may easily identify with the deep state which you wisely oppose and which is fiercely waging war against you in these days – have decided to show their cards, so to speak, by now revealing their plans. They seem to be so certain of already having everything under control that they have laid aside that circumspection that until now had at least partially concealed their true intentions. The investigations already under way will reveal the true responsibility of those who managed the Covid emergency not only in the area of health care but also in politics, the economy, and the media. We will probably find that in this colossal operation of social engineering there are people who have decided the fate of humanity, arrogating to themselves the right to act against the will of citizens and their representatives in the governments of nations. We will also discover that the riots in these days were provoked by those who, seeing that the virus is inevitably fading and that the social alarm of the pandemic is waning, necessarily have had to provoke civil disturbances, because they would be followed by repression which, although legitimate, could be condemned as an unjustified aggression against the population. The same thing is also happening in Europe, in perfect synchrony. It is quite clear that the use of street protests is instrumental to the purposes of those who would like to see someone elected in the upcoming presidential elections who embodies the goals of the deep state and who expresses those goals faithfully and with conviction. It will not be surprising if, in a few months, we learn once again that hidden behind these acts of vandalism and violence there are those who hope to profit from the dissolution of the social order so as to build a world without freedom: Solve et Coagula, as the Masonic adage teaches. Although it may seem disconcerting, the opposing alignments I have described are also found in religious circles. There are faithful Shepherds who care for the flock of Christ, but there are also mercenary infidels who seek to scatter the flock and hand the sheep over to be devoured by ravenous wolves. It is not surprising that these mercenaries are allies of the children of darkness and hate the children of light: just as there is a deep state, there is also a deep church that betrays its duties and forswears its proper commitments before God. Thus the Invisible Enemy, whom good rulers fight against in public affairs, is also fought against by good shepherds in the ecclesiastical sphere. It is a spiritual battle, which I spoke about in my recent Appeal which was published on May 8. For the first time, the United States has in you a President who courageously defends the right to life, who is not ashamed to denounce the persecution of Christians throughout the world, who speaks of Jesus Christ and the right of citizens to freedom of worship. Your participation in the March for Life, and more recently your proclamation of the month of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, are actions that confirm which side you wish to fight on. And I dare to believe that both of us are on the same side in this battle, albeit with different weapons. For this reason, I believe that the attack to which you were subjected after your visit to the National Shrine of Saint John Paul II is part of the orchestrated media narrative which seeks not to fight racism and bring social order, but to aggravate dispositions; not to bring justice, but to legitimize violence and crime; not to serve the truth, but to favor one political faction. And it is disconcerting that there are Bishops – such as those whom I recently denounced – who, by their words, prove that they are aligned on the opposing side. They are subservient to the deep state, to globalism, to aligned thought, to the New World Order which they invoke ever more frequently in the name of a universal brotherhood which has nothing Christian about it, but which evokes the Masonic ideals of those want to dominate the world by driving God out of the courts, out of schools, out of families, and perhaps even out of churches. The American people are mature and have now understood how much the mainstream media does not want to spread the truth but seeks to silence and distort it, spreading the lie that is useful for the purposes of their masters. However, it is important that the good – who are the majority – wake up from their sluggishness and do not accept being deceived by a minority of dishonest people with unavowable purposes. It is necessary that the good, the children of light, come together and make their voices heard. What more effective way is there to do this, Mr. President, than by prayer, asking the Lord to protect you, the United States, and all of humanity from this enormous attack of the Enemy? Before the power of prayer, the deceptions of the children of darkness will collapse, their plots will be revealed, their betrayal will be shown, their frightening power will end in nothing, brought to light and exposed for what it is: an infernal deception. Mr. President, my prayer is constantly turned to the beloved American nation, where I had the privilege and honor of being sent by Pope Benedict XVI as Apostolic Nuncio. In this dramatic and decisive hour for all of humanity, I am praying for you and also for all those who are at your side in the government of the United States. I trust that the American people are united with me and you in prayer to Almighty God. United against the Invisible Enemy of all humanity, I bless you and the First Lady, the beloved American nation, and all men and women of good will. + Carlo Maria Viganò Titular Archbishop of Ulpiana Former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America Source: https://www.nollywoodtimes.com/2020/06/powerful-letter-archbishop-viganos.html

Technology has made payment methods very convenient. The most popular payment method right now is mobile payment. Mobile wallets such as Chase Pay, Samsung Pay, and Apple Pay are cutting down on the concept of carrying around a wallet in favor of a smartphone. However, with all the goodness that this payment method brings comes the question, are mobile payments methods secure? According to experts, there is a high percentage of mobile payment fraud, and this percentage is bound to increase in the coming years. Not to fret though as there are ways to deal with this issue. In fact, some people argue that mobile payment methods are more secure than cash or physical credit card as long as you put some security measures in place. Let’s look at the risks associated with this payment method and how to stay safe. Cybercriminals can “spoof” your mobile wallet While the probability of cybercriminals stealing your account number is minimal because it is securely stored via encryption, the risks are made higher when you add a card to your wallet while on an unsecured public Wi-Fi. Hackers who hide on such networks can “spoof” or recreate the system for mobile wallet registration for which you’ll be required to input your card details. To solve this problem, load card details into your mobile wallet using a secure, password-protected Wi-Fi network, preferably on at home. And, if you really have to use public Wi-Fi, then do so through a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Losing your phone Today, your smartphone is like your credit card; it is where you store important details like names, contact information, social media accounts, and personal photographs, etc. Also, your phone offers full access to credit cards, debit cards, and bank accounts, through various online banking apps, payment apps, mobile wallets, and much more. So, what happens when you lose your phone? Well, your personal details are most-likely to get leaked, after all the chances of your phone falling into the hands of a Good Samaritan who might return it are very slim. So, what’s the solution? Look for a smartphone that contains built-in protection to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing your phone. Also, activate two-factor authentication on your phone, which is ideally a PIN incorporated with a biometric method like facial recognition, an iris scan, or your fingerprint. Malware attack Today, malware attack is not just limited to computers as mobile malware also continues to grow. One such malware is called Fakedtoken, which is capable of attacking banking and other applications that propel Android phone users to input payment card details. To deal with this issue, ensure you don’t click on suspicious links on your phone. Also, install an antivirus and keep all your apps updated as outdated apps are not well-protected against attacks. Using multiple software Just like desktops and laptops, mobile phones also work on various software and hardware programs. There are people who are still using old models of Android and iOS, and this can cause various security issues since these devices lack the newest mobile security technologies. This attracts fraudsters and hackers for exploiting and attacking. Your mobile phone needs to be secure, with advanced components to protect you from any form of fraud. A secure mobile device should include face scanners, voice recognition, geofencing, fingerprint scanner, and verification codes to your emails or mobiles. Therefore, look for a smartphone that has advanced features in regard to the hardware and software to allow full protection of your accounts and payments. There is no doubt that mobile payments, just like all other payment methods have some risks. This payment method is however still much safer than the plastic cards you have to carry around. You just need to be a little careful when using it. Do your research, use strong passwords, use your own secure network, educate your family on safe mobile payment processes, avoid making payments using public Wi-Fi networks, and secure your financial information with a VPN. The Embassy of China in France said as he answers questions at how the West was coping with the pandemic, said, western media and governments refusing to give China credit for battling Covid-19 in Wuhan simply envy its efficiency. Naysayers “envy the efficiency of our political system and hate the inability of their own nations to perform as well. So they try to stick the ‘dictatorship’ label on China,” the embassy argued in a provocative essay published over the weekend, rt.com reports. These very same detractors instead praise the “Asian democracies” such as South Korea, Japan and Singapore, the article noted, adding that China’s quarantine measures were more drastic because it has a much larger population and faced a bigger challenge in fighting the coronavirus. A Church in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, had sprayed salt water into the mouths of its members with the belief it would kill the coronavirus. The Church; River of Grace Community Church, following this act infected 46 followers with the deadly virus, scmp.com reports. The Government has closed down the church and all its believers who attended the prayer service are being tested accordingly. According to the report, these new cases have frustrated the South Korean government’s efforts to clamp down on possible clusters, as cases rise to 8,236 The Prime Minister Chung Sye Kyun, of the country said: “It’s been confirmed that they put the nozzle of the spray bottle inside the mouth of a follower who was later confirmed as a patient, before they did likewise for other followers as well, without disinfecting the sprayer,” said Lee Hee-young, head of Gyeonggi Province’s coronavirus task force. “This made it inevitable for the virus to spread,” he said. “They did so out of the false belief that salt water kills the virus.” “It is still too early to relax,” “The government will concentrate its efforts on preventing cluster infections.” “We again call for proactive participation by churches in preventing further spread of the virus, including changes to their ways of worshiping,” Lee said. A mysterious fireball sightings from Malaysia’s Johor Bahru and Singapore on Wednesday, has been reported by the website of the International Meteor Organization. The user nicknamed Violet Crystal has posted a dashcam footage of what looked like a fireball falling from the night sky above the Malaysian city of Johor Bahru. The user claimed that the short clip was filmed about 5 a.m. local time on Wednesday, with the International Meteor Organization’s website noting, in turn, that there were at least four reports of fireball sightings from Singapore and Johor Bahru at the time. The footage was reposted to the All Singapore Stuff Facebook news outlet’s Facebook page where it has already been viewed more than 100,000 times. The comments included those from Singaporeans who said that they were surprised to see the space object from places including Loyang, Bartley, and Hougang. “Saw this at Loyang at 5am! Same time stamp! I thought Singapore was under attacked! [sic] Phew thank god it wasn’t an hallucination [sic]”, the user named Izzat Asyraf Nahrawi wrote. Singapore space enthusiasts from the Astronomy.SG group, however, told the Coconuts Singapore media outlet that there was no record of the Wednesday event with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) or the European Space Agency (ESA). “Our team was unaware of any such incident until recently. From the video evidence, we cannot confirm the nature of the object. We do not have hard proof that it did hit the ground and there is no data from NASA and the ESA confirming it is a meteorite at this present moment. Our best guess is that it is a meteor that burned up before hitting land, or a fragment of a larger meteorite that entered the atmosphere”, the group asserted. The British government has concluded plans to give regulators the power to fine social media companies( Facebook and Twitter) for harmful material shared through their platforms. In a statement on Wednesday, the UK authorities; said it will give power to the telecommunications watchdog, Ofcom, to enforce a "duty of care" on companies, "to protect users from harmful and illegal terrorist and child abuse content". Companies that allow harmful material to flourish or don't remove it quickly could be sanctioned, the government said. Ofcom, which currently supervises the radio and television broadcasters, has the power to impose fines or even sanctions on repeat offenders by taking them off the air. The government added that it was "minded" to make the changes, but some new legislation will be needed for it to be operational. To this end, the officials would be working to draft a new law in no time. Nicky Morgan, UK's Digital Secretary said the new regulations would be "proportionate and strong". "We have an incredible opportunity to lead the world in building a thriving digital economy, driven by groundbreaking technology, that is trusted by and protects everyone in the UK," she said. However following the announcement, the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, welcomed the development and said "a duty of care model that puts the onus on big tech to prevent online harms" is good. On their part, the free-speech advocates have expressed concerns about State attempts to limit activity that may be harmful but is not illegal. Scientists from United Kingdom, believe they are among the first to start animal testing of a vaccine for the new coronavirus. Imperial College London, Researchers, said their desired goal was to have an effective and safe way of halting the strain's spread by the end of the year. "At the moment we have just put the vaccine that we've generated from these bacteria into mice," researcher Paul McKay told AFP. "We're hoping that over the next few weeks we'll be able to determine the response that we can see in those mice, in their blood, their antibody response to the coronavirus." The World Health Organization boss, is warning that a few cases of the novel coronavirus that have been spread by people who never traveled to China could be "the tip of the iceberg," as officials reported the highest single-day death toll since the epidemic began. Chinese authorities, however has criticised the Western media reports that Beijing was not fully cooperating with international health experts. WHO Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus via a Twitter tweet on Sunday from Geneva, said the "spread outside #China appears to be slow, but could accelerate." "The detection of a small number of cases may indicate more widespread transmission in other countries; in short, we may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg," he wrote, adding, "Containment remains our objective, but all countries must use the window of opportunity created by the containment strategy to prepare for the virus' possible arrival." Over the weekend, the number of deaths from 2019nCoV, as the virus is officially known, surpassed those killed by severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, during the 2003 outbreak that originated in southern China. Like SARS, 2019nCoV is another in a family of coronaviruses that typically cause mild to moderate pneumonia, which can nonetheless be deadly, especially in patients with weak or compromised immune systems. Late Sunday, China said there had been 97 new deaths, a daily record since the epidemic began, bringing the total number of deaths in China to 909, with 40,235 confirmed cases. There have been more than 300 other confirmed cases worldwide and one additional confirmed death outside of China. Although so far the mortality rate for 2019nCoV has proven far lower than for SARS – about 2% compared to around 10%, the new virus appears to have spread more rapidly than its earlier cousin. SARS killed 774 people during an outbreak that began in late 2002 and reached its peak in 2003. The novel coronavirus was first identified in December in the central city of Wuhan and then spread rapidly throughout China. Since then, cases have been found across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the U.S. That has put Beijing under tremendous pressure to contain the epidemic, and editorials published in the Global Times newspaper, run by the Chinese Communist Party, suggest that Chinese officials may be feeling chastened about perceptions of how they've handled the global health crisis. In one editorial headlined "Is sympathy too much to ask from the Western media?" author Wang Wenwen writes: "Reading through some Western media reports on China's fight against the outbreak, I could not find many encouraging and inspiring ones. Instead, I discovered discrimination and gloating." "Many of the reports made me feel as if every Chinese is living in despair and does not want to follow government measures, which have been referred to as human rights violations. However, this is not the case. Fear or anxiety of people is not from the government measures, but from the outbreak itself, in contrast with several media reports," Wang wrote. The author pointed specifically to a New York Times report on Friday that Chinese officials had repeatedly rebuffed offers of help from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the WHO. The Times piece was also in the crosshairs of a separate op-ed. "China has in fact been maintaining close collaboration with WHO right after it realizes the severity of the epidemic, including sharing the genetic sequence of the new virus and keeping WHO updated on the epidemic," the editorial in the Global Times read. Outside of China, the rest of Asia has been hardest-hit by the virus. Although the numbers of confirmed cases remain relatively small, the economic and political backlash has been outsized. In Japan, where a large proportion of foreign tourists come from China, dozens of coronavirus cases have been identified on a cruise ship carrying some 3,700 people who have been quarantined aboard for days. The Diamond Princess arrived at Yokohama, Japan, after one of its passengers disembarked at Hong Kong on Jan. 25 to visit a local hospital and was subsequently diagnosed with the virus. Another cruise ship, Holland America's MS Westerdam, which called in Hong Kong late last month, has been unable to find a port of call after being denied entry in Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines and the U.S. territory of Guam. According to Vesselfinder, it was off Vietnam's southern coast on Monday. In response to the epidemic, Tokyo has enacted restrictive measures that ban the entry of Chinese nationals holding passports issued by Hubei, the Chinese province which is the epicenter of the epidemic, and all foreigners who had visited the province within the past two weeks, regardless of whether they are showing symptoms of infection, Reuters reports. "The new coronavirus is having a major impact on tourism, the economy and our society as a whole," Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Saturday. "The government will do its utmost to address the impact." In London, Britain's health ministry on Monday declared the new coronavirus "a serious and imminent public threat to health," a step that gives the government additional powers to fight the virus. The U.K. has four confirmed cases. NPR's Emily Feng in Beijing contributed to this report. Source: https://www.nollywoodtimes.com/2020/02/nearly-100-deaths-reported-by-china-in.html

Police in December had reprimanded eight doctors including Li for warning friends on social media about the emerging threat. China’s supreme court later criticized the police, but the ruling party also has tightened its grip on information about the outbreak. Weibo users have left hundreds of thousands of messages below Li’s last post. A post by one of Li’s coworkers, an emergency room nurse, said the freezing Wuhan weather was “as gloomy as my mood.” “To you, we are angels and so strong. But how strong a heart can watch the people around me fall one by one without being shocked?” wrote Li Mengping on her verified account. Others placed blame for the deaths on Chinese officials, not an animal species from where the virus might have spread, and said those who made trouble for the doctor should face consequences. The most pointed online comments were quickly deleted by censors. The ruling party has faced similar accusations of bungling or thuggish behavior following previous disasters. They include the 2003 outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome, a 2005 chemical spill that disrupted water supplies to millions of people in China’s northeast, sales of tainted milk that sickened thousands of children and the failure of private finance companies after the global economic crisis. In each case, officials were accused of trying to conceal or delay release of information members of the public said they needed to protect themselves. The Communist Party often responds by allowing the public to vent temporarily, then uses its control of media and the internet to stifle criticism. Critics who persist can be jailed on vague charges of spreading rumors or making trouble. On the streets of Beijing, the capital, residents expressed sadness and said that China should learn from Li. “He is such a nice person, but still didn’t pull through,” said Ning Yanqing. “Those left do not dare to speak out. Alas, I don’t know what to say.” Some online comments Friday hinted at broader dissatisfaction with the Party and Chinese leader Xi Jinping, who has tightened controls on society since taking power in 2012. The most powerful Chinese leader since at least the 1980s, Xi gave himself the option of remaining “president for life” by changing the Chinese constitution in 2018 to remove a two-term limit. Referring to one of Xi’s propaganda initiatives, a message that circulated on social media said, “My ‘Chinese Dream’ is broken.” In Wuhan, local leaders were accused of telling doctors in December not to publicize the spreading virus in order to avoid casting a shadow over the annual meeting of a local legislative body. As the virus spread, doctors were ordered to delete posts on social media that appealed for donations of medical supplies. That prompted complaints authorities were more worried about image than public safety. Li was detained by police after warning about the virus on a social media group for his former classmates. The latest episode is unusually awkward for the ruling party because Li was a physician, part of a group who are regarded as overworked, underpaid heroes who are China’s line of defense against a frightening new disease. “He showed a responsible attitude toward the society,” said Cai Lin, a Beijing resident. “He is honest and faithful. So I think the whole society should reflect on this.” The World Health Organization, which has complimented China’s response to the outbreak, said in a tweet that “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Li Wenliang. We all need to celebrate work that he did on” the virus. The official propaganda apparatus tried Friday to mollify the public. “Some of Li Wenliang’s experiences during his life reflect shortcomings and deficiencies in epidemic prevention and control,” said state television on its website. The Chinese ambassador to Washington, Cui Tiankai, said in Twitter, a service the ruling party’s internet censorship blocks the public from seeing, “Really saddened by the death of Dr. Li Wenliang. He was a very devoted doctor. We are so grateful to him for what he has done in our joint efforts fighting against #2019nCoV.” The government announced a team from Beijing would be sent to Wuhan to investigate “issues reported by the masses involving Dr. Li Wenliang.” By Joe McDonald Source: https://www.nollywoodtimes.com/2020/02/death-of-doctor-from-coronavirus.html

Police in Scotland Yard is allegedly investigating former prime minister of Britain, Mr. David Cameron's bodyguard, who reportedly left his gun in an aeroplane toilet. The weapon was found by a passenger, who handed it to flight attendants on a transatlantic flight, the Daily Mail reports. According to the report, the gun which is believed to be a 9mm Glock 17 pistol, was allegedly left by a close-protection officer who took off his holster while using the toilet. The report also said, that Passports belonging to Mr Cameron and the officer were also found alongside the weapon, according to reports. The Metropolitan Police in a statement said: "We are aware of the incident on a flight into the UK on February 3 and the officer involved has since been removed from operational duties. "We are taking this matter extremely seriously and an internal investigation is taking place." New diesel engine cars sales has reportedly felled by 36% in January, the worst since the turn of the millennium, following talks about clean air zones and the recently announced 2035 vehicle ban. According to a report by Yahoo news, the overall, new car registrations fell by 7.3% in January. Petrol car sales fell by 9.5%, while alternatively fuelled cars continued to grow in popularity, according to the Society for Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). New registrations of hybrid electric cars climbed by 20.6%, while demand for plug-in hybrid electric cars more than doubled, jumping 111%. The source further stated, that the figures for last month came a day after it emerged that hybrid vehicles would be included in the government’s vehicle ban, which will now also come into force five years earlier than expected. The reports called 2020 the “defining year of climate action,” prime minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday said that 2035 would be the last year that consumers could buy diesel, petrol, and hybrid vehicles. The ban was previously due to come into effect in 2040, and was not expected to include hybrid vehicles. “For the UK market to stand any chance of meeting the extremely challenging 2035 goal, an extensive package of government support is vital,” the SMMT said on Wednesday. “These measures must support a smooth and sustainable transition for industry and consumers, whatever their income or driving needs.” Analysts have cited increasing moves to reduce carbon emissions as a major factor in the sharp drop-off in diesel car sales. The decline in January, the steepest since 2000, means that sales of those vehicles have now fallen for 34 straight months. Diesel car sales now account for just 19.8% of the new car market. Just a year ago, they represented almost 30%. The SMMT said that consumers continue to be confused about clean air zones and their impact on diesel vehicles. The zones, also known as low-emissions zones, are being considered in UK cities such as Birmingham, London, and Leicester. From 2021, Bristol is set to become the UK’s first city to ban diesel cars from entering parts of its city centre. “The new car market is a key driver of the UK’s overall economy, so another month of decline is unsettling,” said Mike Hawes, the CEO of the SMMT. “Consumer confidence is not returning to the market and will not be helped by government’s decision to add further confusion and instability by moving the goalposts on the end of sale of internal combustion engine cars.” Source: https://www.nollywoodtimes.com/2020/02/diesel-engines-car-sales-in-20-years.html

The "pontifical secret" used in clergy sexual abuse cases, has been abolished by Pope Francis, after mounting criticism that the high degree of confidentiality has been used to protect pedophiles, silence victims and keep law enforcement from investigating related crimes. According to the Telegraph UK report, Pope Francis in a new document, decreed that information in abuse cases must be protected by church leaders to ensure its "security, integrity and confidentiality." But he said "pontifical secret" no longer applies to abuse-related accusations, trials and decisions under the Catholic Church's canon law. Francis also raised from 14 to 18 the cutoff age below which the Vatican considers pornographic images to be child pornography. The new laws were issued Tuesday, Francis' 83rd birthday, as he struggles to respond to the global explosion of the abuse scandal, his own missteps and demands for greater transparency and accountability from victims, law enforcement and ordinary Catholics alike. The new norms are the latest amendment to the Catholic Church's in-house canon law - a parallel legal code that metes out ecclesial justice for crimes against the faith. In this legal system, the worst punishment a priest can incur is being defrocked, or dismissed from the clerical state. Pope Benedict XVI had decreed in 2001 that these cases must be dealt with under "pontifical secret," the highest form of secrecy in the church. The Vatican had long insisted that such confidentiality was necessary to protect the privacy of the victim, the reputation of the accused and the integrity of the canonical process. However, such secrecy also served to keep the scandal hidden, prevent law enforcement from accessing documents and silence victims, many of whom often believed that "pontifical secret" prevented them from going to the police to report their priestly abusers. The Russian Navy's Northern Fleet, Yantar (Amber) naval vessel, has been blocked in Panama’s territorial waters. According to a report by uawire, the Russian vessel for the third day cannot leave the Panama, territorial waters because it has not received permission to enter the Panama Canal. The report also added that, few days ago, the Russian news outlet Avia.pro reported that the Russian warship Yantar, which Russia calls “an oceanographic naval vessel”, was blocked from entering the Panama Canal after a U.S. warplane flew over it. "The Russian Foreign Ministry and other related agencies have made intensive, but so far inconclusive, attempts to resolve the issue of transit of the specialized vessel of the Russian Ministry of Defense "Yantar" through the Panama Canal and to resolve the unexpected claims made by the Administration of this hydraulic complex regarding the specific characteristics of the ship, which, according to local officials, can negatively affect the airlocks and cameras of the channel. The ship has been in the Cristobal port terminal for almost three days awaiting a transit permit, which leads to the ship failing to perform its tasks and can cause the ship to change its further route," reports the Telegram channel “the Operational Line”. However, according to a further report by this source, the Pentagon believes that the Yantar is a reconnaissance vessel which is gathering information on the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN), underwater sensors, and other equipment used by American submarines. The report states that, the Yantar, part of the Russian Navy since 2015, has made numerous long trips around the globe. Western military experts believe that the reconnaissance vessel may have deployed submersible remote-controlled unmanned vessels or deep-water manned bathyscaphes at the places where it remained stationary. The Yantar is the primary vessel of project 22010 developed by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. The ship’s displacement is 5,200 tons, its length is 108.1 meters, and its width is 17.2 meters. Alongside the submersible unmanned vessels, the Yantar might carry the deep-water manned bathyscaphes Rus, Konsul and Mir. Pope Francis in another rebuke recently of the Trump administration's border separation policy, the Clergy Father, compares President Donald Trump to King Herod, who tried to kill baby Jesus, according to Breitbart's Thomas Williams, newsmax reports. "In other parts there are walls that even separate children from parents," Francis said, per the report. "Herod comes to mind. Yet for drugs, there's no wall to keep them out. "The phenomenon of migration is compounded by war, hunger and a 'defensive mindset,' which makes us in a state of fear believe that you can defend yourself only by strengthening borders. At the same time, there is exploitation." The report however stated that, Pope Francis has been a frequent critic of President Trump's border wall, despite the fact his Vatican City is surrounded by walls in Rome, Italy. "I must admit that I am shocked by some of the narratives I hear in Europe about borders," the Pope said, per the report. "Populism is gaining strength. "The phenomenon of refugees has always existed, but today it is better known because of social differences, hunger, political tensions and especially war. For these reasons, migratory movements are intensifying." "The Christian tradition has a rich evangelical experience in dealing with the problem of refugees," he added, per Breitbart. "We also remember the importance of welcoming the foreigner as the Old Testament teaches us." Source: https://www.nollywoodtimes.com/2019/12/pope-francis-compares-trump-to-king.html

The segregation of women from men in Saudi Arabia's restaurants, where women use separate entrances from men or sit behind partitions at restaurants will no langer stand, as Government puts an end to it. According to a report by itv.com, the ruling is the latest measure announced by the Saudi government that upends conservative restrictions that have been in place for decades. The decision according to the report, which essentially ends gender segregation rules in public, was announced in a lengthy and technically worded statement by the Municipal and Rural Affairs Ministry. While some restaurants and cafes in the coastal city of Jiddah and Riyadh’s upscale hotels had already been allowing unrelated men and women to sit freely, the move codifies what has been a sensitive issue in the past among traditional Saudis who view gender segregation as a religious requirement. However it was observed by the report that, neighbouring Muslim countries do not have similar rules Source: https://www.nollywoodtimes.com/2019/12/segregation-of-men-and-women-in.html
