You wicked o. shocked grin

I am curious, what proportion of black working-class individuals do you see working/living in Cambridge? The biotech/tech scene there and environs?
Very minimal as Cambridge is the most expensive city when it comes to rent after London though very beautiful with centuries of history all around you.

The biotech/tech scene is very huge as we have our version of Silicon valley called Silicon Fen, Europe's biggest tech and innovation cluster...the power of University of Cambridge! cool
Politics › Re: Fubara Cancels Wike 10,000 Job, Promises Fresh Recruitments by Mindlog: 6:24pm On May 31, 2024
Whalis:
Those who do not know may hail Fubaras decision.
Towards the end of Wikes tenure and as usual with most government. Obaseki is presently doing that. Wike decided to recruit into the civil service. The whole idea was for the recruited people to massively vote for Fubara as that was the only way their jobs could be retained. Those recruited had their families to convince to vote Fubara as that was the only way they won't be sacked.
I personally voted Fubara for this reason. A close relative of mine benefitted from the recruitment. Fubara was aware that Wike took this decision to his benefits. Fubara won the election courtesy of this strategy. Before Fubara won these people had worked for over 4 to 5 months with promise that they would be paid once things got settled. While these people were merrying that Fubara had won Fubara first action in office was to sack them all.
He sacked them with no pay or compensation. These people underwent all the required process of civil service recruitment including issuing of Government ID Cards.
Some of them resigned their previous jobs.
Wike used them to get Fubara in....Fubara has no need of them anymore and they deserve the sack as they were not recruited on merit but based on political patronage....they have been used and dumped, I feel no pity for them.

Politicians love exploiting people and some people love being exploited by politicians......perfect match.

Fubara would also recruit his own thousands of willing persons into the civil service with second term in mind. cheesy cheesy cheesy

We don have bad leaders, we have bad citizens
Reason I am not interested in the exploration of oil and gas in my community in Imo state.....it will make the people lazy, the young ones will not be motivated to study nor learn vocational skills...they would want "free money"

there is no way the community was not engaged at the start of the project
no way the government was also not engaged
what they should be doing is ensuring the necessary safety standards are put in place
potential investors are also watching to see how this unfolds

this is how the communities in warri harrassed oil companies till they all pulled out.
now warri is a shell of itself
Truth is many communities like mine in Imo state, do not want oil and gas exploration in their communities.....make everyone dey continue hustling through business and education, avoiding the breeding of youths who would be demotivated to work because of handouts those companies will be giving the youths, I prefer youths in my community who are vocationally oriented to continue their shoe making apprenticeship and eventual ownership of shoe making businesses , they have been engaged in, for decades.

After huge money was invested, they decided to protest and disrupt activities. If this was in any other region, the victimization noise would have filled all social media spaces.

Moghalu's wife would have been screaming at the top of her voice for people not to invest in Imo state. She has gone deaf and dumb even after the terrorism witnessed in the SE yesterday.
Dem say dey no want gas plant in their community, no be fight.

Sensible women don't bother too much over such nonsense. You either divorce him if you can't deal or you deal. You don't go making a nuisance of yourself in public.

When he becomes old and weak, you leave him and go and stay with the kids. Many men are paying for the sins of their youth at old age.
-What is nonsense about infidelity?

Glad you establish that sexual indiscretion outside marriage is a reason for abandonment ,some men experience at old age when they are frail and sickly, no longer attractive to women out there unless he is wealthy enough to attract women who would exchange attention to him for his money. because mama has already signed out!

When Nigerian men love to talk about "our mothers of old" What they really mean to say is that the woman tolerated the excesses of their fathers and she still stayed 🤣

That's what they want in modern women. They want to do all kinds of fuckery and then come back home knowing the woman will always be there and wait on them.
I am engaging him, to pick his brain from the light of resistance in therapy after adultery.....the resistance to atonement, which is the first stage of Gottman's Trust Revival Method (which many marriage therapists use). wink

Go and ask women of old how they managed to keep their men even though they had countless concubines outside.

Women are powerful, especially the wise ones. They know how to keep a man they really want to keep.
Now, how should "women of new" manage their men who have smartphones and unlimited access to apps and social media platforms which men of old, didn't have?
