A lot of people need to grow up mentally. Marriage goes beyond what's good for me and my feelings to what's beneficial for us and our needs.
If a man's pride always gets in the way of progress foe the unit, then a woman's emotional response might just as well be validated too.
Certain feelings and emotions can be trained out of us if we even bother to try. Let's stop trying to validate childish behaviors please and start encouraging one another to grow mentally, physically and spiritually.
Take pride in the family unit. Take pride in your wife's success, because as long as she respects you as the head your ego should stay very much intact. What's the point of a help mate if you won't give her the chance of actually being useful if your domestic economy is low or literally nonexistent? How will she be helpful if you kept stifling every attempt for her to blossom in the past all because of your pride and ego?
