Kelechi Iheanacho’s introduction in Manchester City’s FA Cup semi-final clash against Arsenal, meant that he became the first player to be brought on as a fourth substitute in the competition.
New rules for the 2016/2017 season, allow managers to make one more extra change if the game goes into extra time, even if they have already made three previous substitutions.
The law came into effect from the quarter-final stage of this season’s competition, but was not put into practice until a last-four encounter at Wembley.
Pep Guardiola had already brought on Raheem Sterling, Fabian Delph and Fernando into the match. But when his side went behind to an Alexis Sanchez goal, the Spaniard called on Iheanacho, with the hope of finding a late equalizer.
The move did not pay off, as City came up short against the Gunners.

Arsenal will take on Chelsea in the final of the FA Cup, after they came from behind to beat Manchester City 2-1 in their semi-final clash on Sunday.
My question here is if Arsenal could beat City 2 goals to 1 in the semi final, what will be the condition of Chelsea FC in the forthcoming final clash?

Sergio Aguero put Pep Guardiola’s men ahead, with a dink over Petr Cech, after receiving a long pass from Yaya Toure. The Gunners levelled after the break, after Nacho Monreal volleyed in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s cross from the right.
Alexis Sanchez provided the winner in extra time, as he reacted quickest to fire past Claudio Bravo.
Arsenal had several chances to extend their lead, but Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil squandered them.
Their London rivals Chelsea qualified for the final, after defeating Tottenham Hotspur in a thrilling contest on Saturday.

When he came out to his car less than 5 minutes later, someone had managed to get into his car and had stolen his mobile phone, laptop computer, sat-nav, briefcase and other belongings.
He called the police and since there were no signs of his car having been broken into, the police told him he had probably been a victim of the latest robbery tactic ? there is a device that robbers are using now to clone your security code when you lock your doors on your car using your remote locking device.
They sit a distance away and watch for their next victim. They know you are going inside the Store, restaurant, or whatever and that they now have a few minutes to steal and run.
The police officer said always to lock your car manually with the key when parking in a public area. That way if there is someone sitting in a car nearby watching for their next victim, it will not be you.
When you lock up with the key upon exiting, it does not send the security code, but if you walk away and use the remote button, it sends the code through the airwaves where it can be easily intercepted by the device.
This is very real. Be aware of what you just read and please pass this information on.
Look how many times we all lock our doors with our remote just to be sure we remembered to lock them — and bingo, someone has our code…and potentially whatever is in our car.”

Multiple award-winning Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has said that the desire for glamour and appeal is the reason entertainers cannot stop being sexual in their performances.
She said this while addressing some pressing issues in the Nigerian music industry as a guest on an entertainment show hosted by Arise Television, which was monitored by DAILYPOST.
According to her, entertainers cannot be stopped from adapting sexual scenes in their stage-craft but can be regulated through appropriate guidelines provided by a competent body or authority.
She, however, disclosed that contemporary musicians were misunderstood in a similar way the late Afrobeat King, Fela’s dancers were misunderstood because of their sexual displays on stage.
Savage said: “There is no way a movie and entertainment will not have sexual scenes. You cannot stop an artiste from being sexual in entertainment
“The only thing we can do as Africans is to provide guidelines.
“When I performed initially in Nigeria, they screamed that it was too much; that it was too sexual. We are still fighting the same battle the Fela girls fought.
“Fela’s girls were misunderstood. What they did on stage was just entertainment.
“What they do on stage doesn’t mean that they are loose off stage. People say Fela is godfather but people forget the women that added glamour to Fela’s show.”

Victor Moses has receive serious backlash from fans on Twitter, who feel he dived to win Chelsea the penalty that gave them a 2-1 lead against
Tottenham, in their FA Cup semi-final clash on Saturday.
The Blues took the lead in the 4th minute through Willian’s free-kick, before Harry Kane equalized with a header.
Moses then raced into the penalty box and Heung-min Son slid in. The Nigerian tumbled onto the pitch and referee Martin Atkinson awarded the spot-kick.
Atkinson’s decision did not go down well with some observers.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has declared a state of emergency in cocoa production to ensure that the state maintains its position as the leading cocoa producing state in Nigeria.
The governor made the declaration when the Yoruba Patriot Movement (YPM), a socio-political group, paid him a visit in Akure on Friday.
He said, “It is true that most of our cocoa trees are ageing; we will bring different species of cocoa for re-planting to replace the ageing ones.
“This will revive the dwindling fortunes of cocoa in Ondo State and Nigeria in general. The state government is committed to revolutionalising cocoa production.”
Akeredolu called on farmers to embrace all-year round farming, saying this was a panacea to the food scarcity being experienced in the country.
“We have been clamouring for the country’s restructuring for a long time and this must remain our focus. We must ensure that we speak with one voice to attain our dream.
“We must give it whatever it takes to restructure Nigeria for good governance and the betterment of the nation,” he added.

Hundreds of residents and traders on Saturday, trooped out to scoop fuel from a petrol tanker which fell at
the busy Isinkan Roundabout in Akure, the Ondo State capital and spilled its content.The accident happened at about 7 am.
The driver of the tanker was said to be on his way to the NNPC petrol station in Akure to dislodge its content when the accident occurred.

God, I can’t just believe this in my life, I was driving to the office this morning and I’ve a reasons to make a call and before I know, I was out of call card, as I alighted from my car to get a recharge card, I sighted this small girl (Esther by name) who was beaten mercilessly by her own father.
Please where are the human right, who can be of assistance to help this girl out from her heartless father? I was so fortunate to interrogate her mother who told me that the girl went to the next neighbour’s room just to watch TV.
I took the girl to a police station on our way getting there, the girl and her mother was redirected to the nearby police station which is very closer to their house.
I called her father and I questioned him the reasons why he battered the little girl so mercilessly and his respond was very dishearten. He even promised and threatened to beat his wife when he returns from work….
Good people of Nigeria, kindly give helping hands as regard to this case, before it gets worse
