Too good to be true, I swear.

I bought my 2012 Camry, Nigerian used, not even half as clean as this, I bought it 12m. The motor one kill me, I normally uses 20 liters of fuel for 44 kilometers, my dashboard Is showing 3mpg, I saw it the day I bought it but over excitement nor make me abort. I was still the one that painted and buffed the car, still worked on the steering, on my way home the gasket burnt as there was no water in the radiator, I spent 130k changing the gasket the next day.

The fuel draining Is killing, I have checked for leaks, changed all 4 coils, all 4 plugs, I bought catalyst, changed air filter, I changed the Oxygen and maf sensor, I changed all four fuel injectors. The car came with bigger tyres and 20 inch wheel when I first bought it, june last year.... I went as far as changing all 4 wheels and all 4 tyres. Yet no significant difference, not even slightly, I have been driving it like that since then, I spend roughly 300k - 370k on fuel every month, and I haven't travelled out of my local Govt area ever since I bought and started driving the car.... I buy 10k fuel every blessed day, sometimes 15k fuel, It's a 4 four plug car. It's just so pathetic that I have no other option than to drive it like that.

So after that night, it became a regular occurrence between me and Linda, Ngozi later knows about it. Initially didn't like it but later succumbed when Linda told her how genuine I was.
Lest I forget, Ngozi my own country girl has been discouraging Linda about me. It was just Linda's gut feeling that I am different that convinced Ngozi.

After about a year shuffling downstairs and upstairs in the name of washing dishes as work, I have saved some substantial amount of money, all thanks to my two hosts.
Meanwhile, we still go out clubbing once in awhile at night, to help me kill boredom according to them.
But I never step my foot outside during the day apart from watching the city from the window of the 7th floor of our apartment.

After two years, Linda and Ngozi sat me down and asked for the money I have saved.
I brought it out and gave it to them, it was a huge sum I can't really recollect.
Linda collected it, came and kissed me and then said: "durling, your journey to your freedom in America has just begun"
I didn't even argue or get angry about her taking the whole money from me, after all what they have done for me, housing me, clothing me and feeding me for two years is more than enough.
And Linda has promised me better things ahead, so no need to worry about anything.

Then in the next 6months they started my papers work at the home office. To make everything go smoothly, Linda has taken in for me 😀😀😀😀. All hamdi lilahi, sharp shooter like me.
I don't know what she might have told them at the home office, but she told me one day that we are visiting the home office together.
She told me the most important answer I have to give them there is when they ask me if I really do intend to marry her, I should say yes.

I asked her, what makes her think I want to marry her (guys, I fully loved her and want to marry her, but I wasn't the one that said it but her. So I wanted to know why she was so confident that I will say yes that I will marry her).
Her expression changed, Tijan she said. What are you saying? Don't you want to marry me after all the sacrifices I have made for you and also now that we're expecting a baby together?

I hugged her, kissed her in her forehead and told her I was just joking and trying to pull her legs. She was excited hearing that. We went together to the home office.
Everything was sorted out when I called her my expectant wife to be.
After every every, in the next three months my green card was sorted out.
Linda and I raised money and got Ngozi another nice apartment.
Within a year, we had our first son in 2002.

Ngozi and us still keep in touch.
Infact she was around and full of joy when our baby came.
Then the next huddle was how to stop my dish washing job, go to school and get a good degree for a good paying job.
I worked another two years at the restaurant, toiling and saving.
After two years of working and saving, the money saved, I used it and enroll in a school.
By this time, Linda has been promoted twice at her bank with bigger pay packet.

So she was able to sustain the family while I went to school.
Our second child a girl came two years later in 2004. By 2006, I rounded up my schooling and degree program and got a job at a reputable company with good pay.
So in 7yrs I worked and toiled in New York and also went to school to get my green card and work permit.
I worked for another three years together with Linda doing her banking job and there was enough money to take us and three kids as at then to visit Nigeria my mother's land for the first time in 10yrs in 2009.

I went and visit Ojo to see my former school mates and friends. Gist them all what I went thru in America and also visited my parents back in the north. They were all glad to see me and hear from me, after some thought I was dead.
We stayed in Nigeria for a month, went back to America and me and Linda officially got married.
After another 10yrs in America, I decided it's time to return home finally.
I discussed with my wife and she had no qualms about it.

We came back to Nigeria with four beautiful children, built two businesses in Abuja and also have a nice house of our own.
We visit the US every now and then as a citizen.
