Both levels, but transfer from 200l is more attainable. Minimum req, a cgpa of 4.5

please i dnt understand. Does it mean is only first class dat study medicine through D.e. Please help me check more requirement through H.o.d. Tnx
I meant that, if u had graduated from Unizik, u have a chance of getting admission with ur second class upper, but when it comes to graduates from other universities, they consider majorly only first class graduates

congrat. I pray to be in that level one day. Please i need help. Am a graduate of biochem from Tansian uni Anambra. Am from imo state. I just ended my nysc. My gp is 4.06. What are my chances of get to study medicine in unizik through direct entry. Thanks
Unizik rarely gives admission to study medicine to someone that graduated from another school with second class upper.

Goodday everyone pls I scored 227 in utme. Though not actually my fault but the centre I wrote the exam, I believe I would have done more than this, but no need crying over a spilled milk as thinking outside the box and picking up sth when one had fallen may go a long way to help, pls Sirs, any hope of being admitted to Ansu, absu or anyother Eastern uni to bioch, mcb, mlt or any biomedical course with a view of switching over after I00 level to Mbbs. Anyone with opinions or ideas about colleges that interfaculty/departmental transfer are allowed subject to 100/200 level general performance should please make suggestions and indications.
I don't know much abt the schools u mentioned, but then if u can secure admission in UNIZIK to study either zoology, parasitology and entomology, microbiology and you obtain a very high GP (which you can easily obtain depending on r determination) you would be able to switch after 100 or 200level to medicine

Please your reply is urgently needed.
I concluded BSc. Biochemistry in early Jan. this year and my statements of result is not yet out.
I intend to purchase Jamb DE form 2016 and make Unizik my Choice Uni. for Med. Surg.
Can someone enlighten me on the minimum requirements of both the sch and Jamb DE application.
purchase the form first because its out already and wait for the statement of result to come out. which school did you graduate from and what did u graduate with, unizik considers that alot, how is ur waec result, they consider that too. then plus u need to pass their exam. they don't require NYSC discharge certificate.

Thank u MissParagon.

Thanks MissParagon,
Pls what department were u admitted into?
I am going for medicine and surgery. I didn't get first class oo, had 4.2 CGPA in Human Physiology. Since they dont consider the PostDE exam result, what do u think they look out for?
Also did u submit your credentials to Unizik before or after the PostDE exam? If yes, what documents are required?
Thank u once again. I really appreciate.
I was admitted in medicine and surgery. I had 4.2cgpa too but what I studied was zoology. I think you HV a higher advantage with human physiology. how is ur waec result like, hope u r using one result and its impressive, they consider that too. which school did u graduate from?. we submitted our credentials on d exam day, which is degree statement of result, waec result, jamb De application form. hope u submitted ur degree statement of result and waec with the jamb. pls oo study for the DE exam, its being considered too among others was just saying that its not the only thing they consider. if possible get 90% sef. it increases ur chances.

I have bought direct entry scratch card, but i have not registered online, reason being that i am not very sure of the all that Unizik requires from DE candidates. For now i have confirmed that they dont ask for NYSC discharge certificate and they conduct exam for DE applicants. Where i hav doubts includes the chances of gaining admission based on Number of admission slots for DE and the inconsistencies in the school's admission process. For example, i saw from a nairaland forum that Unizik conducted DE exam for 2012/2013 medicine and surgery applicants, published their results and yet didnt release any admission list for them.
Despite all these, i still choose Unizik for this year's DE admission and i believe all will work out for good.
Please share your thought, and informations concerning this matter if you have any. Thank u.
Unizik don't ask for NYSC discharge, and they conduct exams. during my own time 2015, we wrote 100 English questions oral English inclusive. but then they don't give admission strictly based on the exam performance, for eg. I know someone that got 88 in dt exam and I got 64, he didn't get admission but I did and I didn't work my admission in anyway and I didn't graduate with first class, I graduated from Unizik same with that guy, from same dept. if you are a graduate of another school other than unizik u stand a higher chance if you a first class graduate. also we are just 12 admitted from over 120 aspirants and they brought out the admission list very very late, i concluded that dey won't give admission again. most importantly pray very well. God has the final say. success. you can ask more questions if you have.

I really apreciate your comment. Like how long does it take a layer to stop laying?
a year minimum, and a healthy layer lays 1 egg per day.

The rate of unemployment these days among nigerian youths is very high. My brothers came out with 2:1 and yet, they couldn't get a job that suits them.

So i taught of a business i could start on my own. Well, i chose poultry business(production and sales of eggs.

My fellow people here, i want you to please enlighten me on:
How lucrative it is
Should i collect day old or laying point?
What is the possible loss rate?
Battery cage or dip litter system?

Thanks for your contributions in advance
I once worked in a big poultry farm in Enugu. its very lucrative, but you need a good knowledge of poultry farming else you may have problems. you can start small, so you can observe and see how it goes. then you can start expanding little by little. good luck with that

Good day, fellow nairalanders, I have some questions to ask and I will be glad to get responses.
Am a final year student of unilorin studying BSc Biochemistry, am in 2'1 and am hoping to go for medicine through DE.
is it appropriate to take DE form before serving or after?
The new directives of NUC, do u guys think it will be implemented this years?
Lastly, whichsoever school do u think is better in lieu of accreditation and easy admission?
am currently a medical student, admitted through direct entry. I took De form before serving, they didn't ask for my NYSC certificate. am in Unizik but some other school will ask for ur NYSC certificate so you just need to research well. you will HV higher admission chance in the school you graduated from. unizik takes first class student from other schools and also those with extremely good waec result. . as for the nuc directive I seriously doubt if it would work.

Hello MissParagon, congratulations on your admission into college of Medicine.

I'd like to know if DE applicants to UNIZIK have to take POST-DE exams and what the subject combinations are.
thanks. they do write exam, we wrote only English but truth is they didn't use that exam to judge. they were so many factors they considered eg waec result. someone DT scored highest in the exam for medicine didn't even get the admission. but you have to reach the passmark of the exam shaa

nope, they normally change textbook so I don't know the one they are using now, they will tell you guys and even sell them in the bookshop, the textbooks are written by the lecturers.
EducationRe: The medical students and aspirants thread by MissParagon(f): 11:41am On Feb 24, 2016
jnichole:
thanks please what textbooks do u recommend to me?please i need help
no extra textbooks just the once they use in prescience, HV it at ur finger tips, the lectures are very very important too.6 subjects is taught in pre science and u are to do 5, and then they select ur best four. my advice, chose wisely, leave the one course u know u r are not good it, NONE IS COMPULSORY, you can chose not to do maths or chemistry or physics or biology, or geography, you won't be penalized. also pls Mk sure you do 5 subjects so DT dey select ur best 4, cos most people will say let them concentrate and just read 4 and pass it well. the subject u think you know most might just disappoint you, "it happened to me" so just be sure you do five subjects. set ur priorities right, unizik prescience is very tough. be prayerful too, mbaukwu is not much of a good place to stay. I wish you the best
EducationRe: The medical students and aspirants thread by MissParagon(f): 11:33am On Feb 24, 2016
Dbrainiac1:
Try to study with your course mates, get study tips from your seniors like the mode of the quiz, nature of questions asked and so on, and if it a written quiz try to get past questions and master them. And for the textbooks BD Chaurasia's anatomy is more simplified to understand anatomy, Essentials of medical physiology, and Biochemistry by Satyanarayana. Wish you all the best.
thank you so much. God bless
