The story of Mr & Mrs Joseph Alabi is a very pitiful one that no one wants to experience especially on that "big day". As every aspiring couples would love their day to be, the couples planned their day, employed the services of an event planner, the DJ, and of course the fashion designer could not be left out in making that exquisite dress and suit for the couple. The reception hall was luxury furnished, the caterers ready with their various delicacies, the camera men and all were on set. Not forgetting to add that the pathway for the couple to enter and dance through was quite decorated with flowers, ballons and ribbons. Of course many turned out to be part of their day. These happy couple however, did not know what awaited them.
The number of people coming in soon started increasing at an alarming rate. There was no provision for ‘anybody’ to curtail this crowd, direct the people on where to/not sit. Soon people were seen blocking the pathway meant for the couple majestic entrance. When it was time for the couple to come in, it was extremely difficult getting the people of the way. After the couple managed to get in, they suddenly left the hall to take some fresh air outside and calm their nerve. A source told us that they actually cried like babies on their "big day" due to this menace.
This couple made the biggest mistake of arranging for every other body(Dj's etc) but didn't involve the services of Ushers. Well, no matter how little, or big you want that event/program to be, please just a little advise; you need Ushers to help you coordinate and bring order to your event. We love you to enjoy your day to the fullest - your weddings, parties, anniversaries, engagements etc and for those mourning days, we did love to help alleviate your pains by bringing order, & tranquility to the event/program.

I have discovered that, so many people in planning for an event-be it wedding, parties, anniversaries, burials, inaugral lectures etc-actually plan and plan out the services of ushers. They feel; well, my guests are matured and well mannered enough to locate their seats, as well as coordinate themselves respectively. This of cause could be true, but they've invariably limited the duties of an Usher to only helping the guests locate their seats. Thus for further clarification, these are some of the responsibilities of an Usher:
1. Of course they help guests locate their seats easily & in cases of reserved seats/tables make sure the right persons get seated in the appropriate places
2. Make the guests feel welcomed and relaxed to the event with the gorgeous and beaming smiles on the faces of the trained Ushers
3. Adds order to the events as they work diligently in reducing the number of people roaming around the place in search of one thing or another ranging from; restrooms, their allocated seats & also making sure the guests are served their meals by the server's.
