I wish I didn't go sef cause applying again when the ban is lifted, you'll have to really convince them on what has changed from your previous application

Exactly what I said. It’s better not to even go at all.

It’s better you don’t show than for you to go and then have some sort of denial on your record. Plus the stress and effort to reach the embassy and wait time isn’t worth it.

To think that while I was there on the line visibly seeing everyone getting denied, people behind me were praying and being hopeful they will be given visa even though we could all here the interviewers saying there is a complete ban and no visa will be issued.
Saying this so we all know here that nobody is you going to magically receive a visa by chance during this ban😂 no need to be hopeful or whatever. Don’t just bother going lol

So I had my interview today, was unable to reschedule cause my payment was made in 2024 and it has expired.
Literally no one was given a visa, old, young, family, couple...nobody and over 25 people were before me. The only people given while I was there were an Indian couple and I think it's because it's not a Nigerian passport. Their responses for everyone was that we do not qualify and there's a ban on nigerian passports. Even those going for conferences and 1 lady for f1 visa, we were all denied. I also noticed 2 family that were questioned for over 20mins for immigrant visas, they were not given. So my advice is that you wait till the ban is lifted, that was literally what we were all told. Please has anyone responded to this enquiry?
I made MRV payments for my son and I since October 29, 2024 and I am still unable to proceed to book an appointment.
It tells me Bank details updated successfully and yet no progress.
It's been nearly 3 months of frustration.

Do I create a new profile and upload the payment details, will that work?
Can I get a refund and restart again?
This is over N700,000.
Please I need urgent guidance.

I have called, sent emails, chatted, submitted tickets and yet they keep saying it has been escalated. I made payment since October 2nd 2024
This is very sad.

It's been over 2 months since payment was made and AVITS has done nothing about it
They keep closing my ticket and left one on hold, no response on that one.
These people are bunch of useless twats... you call and they tell you to exercise patience, you chat they tell you the same. this is very frustrating!!! [color=#990000][/color]

I also had similar issue. I raised ticket and did all but nothing was done. I had to pay another fee visa and it worked.

please for those that went to the First Bank branch physically to pay their Visa fees, was your receipt like this?
Cause someone is telling me the delay I am having is because I paid online which I choose not to believe.

God knows I am getting fed up
I've made my payment since the 2nd of October and I am yet to be able to book an appointment
I've used the Amentum number, it says successful but nothing comes up
I've raised several tickets and they keep closing them and referring me to the 1st ticket I raised concerning this issue
I just called them now and the agent said it is the Bank reference number that has OIS I should use, I used it and it says given the payment receipt something does not exist
What else can I do, please??

thanks for the update; however, I am sure everyone who's still having an issue with booking an appointment (myself included) tried the amentum ref. number yet, it keeps going back to generate another payment receipt. I guess you were lucky cause it is still not going through for me.

For nearly a month, I’ve been trying to book an appointment after making my payment on September 20th, 2024. I’ve called customer service daily and created tickets, but no luck—until now.

I’m not one to keep solutions to myself, so I wanted to share how I finally resolved this issue. Each time I tried to move forward with my pending application, it would prompt me to make the payment again, even though I had already done so. I tried everything, including calling customer care. Today, they suggested I enter the OIS number on the deposit slip. I realized I had been using **"/"** instead of **"|"** for almost a month! Even though trying the **"|"** didn't work initially due to system slowness, customer service advised me to try the Aventum number. I’m pretty sure I had tried this before, but I gave it another go—and it worked!

I can’t help but feel that someone else might have solved this problem but didn’t share the solution here typical Nigerians especially the older generation ..lol. It’s a shame when people don’t help others, especially when they know the struggle. Anyway, if you’ve been stuck like I was (and I know I wasn’t the only one), try the steps I mentioned and book your appointment. I’m so grateful to God that this finally worked!

Why did they even change to this new site when it's so hard for them to do the basic things?
