CHAPTER ONE
Kathrine blackstone let herself into her into Maximiliano's house and found him at his bar drinking.she tiptoed to the bar and covered his eyes with her palms.
"kat?" he asked almost immediately
she droped her hands and grin "how did you know that i was the one"
"you are the only one who would pull that kinda stunt on me" he says as he smiles at her showing his dimples.
"You know me so well" she said as she grabbed a bottle of brandy from the bar and pour the contents into a cup.
She took a sip from from her cup and smile as she remembered when she met him three months ago when he came to her jewelry store to buy jewelries for his mother's birthday.
"I bet you are thinking about me now" Max said with a cocky grin jolting her from her thoughts
"i wasnt" kat denied
"stop lieing" he said " it dosent suit you"
"fine, i was thinking about when we first met"
"how did you know?" she asked
"i could guess from that dreamy smile you had on your face"
she felt colour rise to her cheeks" i wasnt smiling"
"yes, you were and now you are blushing"
Feeling so embarased, kat changed the topic " I am supposed to meet the girls in less than an hour"
" I bet i am your every discussion" he said as he took a sip from his drink lazily.
"dont flatter yourself" kat said smiling at him.
He was right. Every time she met her sister and her friends since she met him, they always asked her about him making their entire conversation about her relationship with him.
"if not, what do you guys talk abt"
"many other things that wouldnt be of interest to you" she answered and looked into his eyes.
'He has gorgeous eyes' she thought
"I have to go meet someone too" he said
" i should get going" kat said and made to leave.
"wait, let me change clothes and drive you there"
"okay" kat said and sat down
"I wont be long" Max said as he stood up and climbed up the stairs to his bedroom.
After taking a few steps, he turned and asked kat who was now in the living room "would you like to join me upstairs"
"what for?" she said as her eyes widened in horror.
"Geez, i was just kidding" he said as he turned and disappeard upstairs.
A few minutes later, He came out and they left. They chatted about many things during the ride till they got to karen's cafe where she was meeting her friends.
"we are here" he said as he pulled the car to a stop.
" Come in and say hello to the girls" she said
"I cant, maybe another day"
"okay then" she made to leave the car but Max stopped her as he pulled her close and kissed her on the cheek.
She was stunned for a moment but she managed to smile and said "I'll talk to you later"
"later then" he said with a smile as she left the car and walked into the cafe.
Unknown to them three pair of curious eyes watched the whole scene.
