If @ all he had it we would have since the sytoms do you think? Because this stuff doesn't just blow out, it starts gradually and most victims are not even aware of it, they see it as a minor thing that will pass away. So if he really had it? My only HP LAPTOP experience was a flop. Charger port got bad, monitor display started showing strange lines, battery was another issue all this within a space of 14 months. My Toshiba has served me well. Worked with it on some sites where you get constant dust and debris falling into every nook and cranny of it, it has fallen a number of times, survived high voltages e.t.c and still going strong almost 4 years. Bought it brand new from a NL who sells at computer village. Not saying other hp products like its printers and scanners are bad! You can get an HP laptop if you like but for me, that's a no-no.
