i sent my infinix zero to carlcare at saham plaza, for screen replacement, in the first week of december, just want to knw if the phone would have been ready by january, because i am always told that the parts are not ready.

In fact, after changing my phone's imei I tried this and I got a message "You have a pending request, please wait for confirmation." Before when I haven't changed my imei it says invalid imei but now this. They haven't yet confirmed it ever since yesterday. so the question now is, is this how yours went?

I checked and the IMEI on the pack corresponds with what I got when I typed the code *#06#. When I SMS the activation code for the free 500MB the IMEI that Etisalat returns in the SMS telling me my IMEI is wrong is not mine (it's even 14 digits when IMEI is suppose to be 15 digits).

The 500MB free data on activation and the 100% instant bonus on all purchases of 200MB data and above for 12 months is a big scam. I text DATA to 8186 in order to activate several times and I kept getting the message “the device imei 3536xxxxxx3928 is invalid.” At times it gave me false hope by returning the message “You have a pending request, please wait for confirmation” but to no avail.
I bought three pcs of Infinix hot during the Konga 12-12 shopping festival; till date none of them had been activated. I emailed Etisalat customer care and they told me to supply them with the following details for each of the phones: Etisalat Mobile Number, Device IMEI, Device Type, Device Offer, Error Messages, Channel of Purchase and attach a scanned copy of the receipt.
I did all that accurately and they informed me that they are carrying out an investigation and that they would reply me within 24 hours. No response till date.
That was how MTN, Innjoo and Jumia deceived Nigerians that they would provide free data for some Innjoo phones bought at Jumia. I bought two pcs of Innjoo i1s back then, did all the necessary texting and emailing to no avail.
Why do these reputable establishments and service providers have to use deceptive tactics in order to sell their products? They should realize Nigerians would still patronize their products even if they don’t scoop so low. In more civilized societies they would be held to account.

i sent two phones to a friend in Uniport to take it to port Harcourt carlcare. one with packet and the other with just receipt. they repaired the one with packet and said they won't repair the one without packet because they need the the code on the packet.
