This is to inform the general public that the Academic staff Union of Polytechnic(Asup)-BD as embarked on an internal strike From August 19th 2019 Till date as a result of their inability to find common ground with the management on certain issues.
According to Asup the strike is to Lack of payment of the entitlement to her members in particular as the strike as Being suspended before now being suspended on February 19th 2019 at the intervention of Eminent personality including the executive sectary NBTE and His Royal Highness Etsu Nupe after which the Management as promised to satisfy all their Entitlement some of which is their present demand.
And According to the Asup Chairman BD-chapter Dr-Umar Muhammad saganuwan, that it is on record that till present some individual has not receive their pay...
The strike continued with no intervention until the Students Carried out a peaceful protest last week to the palace of His Royal Highness the etsu Nupe to come to their aid! And he advice the students to remain calm. And According to the meeting held in the emir palace between Asup-Bd and the management, ASUP-BD is to call for a Congress meeting as the end of every strike action is usually the Congress.
No Date schedule for the Congress meeting And the 3weeks strike is still on Going!!
