Mr. Samuel Ante (of Golden City Models), was arraigned before the court and charged with six counts, including alleged offences relating to the intoxication and sexual assault of minors.



The matter has been adjourned to 30 November 2026 for trial.



We wish to emphasise that Mr. Samuel Ante is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.



The court granted bail subject to the following conditions:



Bail in the sum of ₦1,000,000.
Two responsible sureties, one of whom must be a landed property owner within the jurisdiction of the court.


• The second surety must be a community leader in the defendant’s area of residence.



• The sureties must provide proof of means.



• The sureties must provide evidence of tax payments to the Lagos State Government.



• The addresses of the sureties are to be duly verified.

The modeling industry in Nigeria has received a much-needed reprieve.

For years, there have been serious allegations of misconduct and inappropriate behavior against a Lagos-based model agent, Samuel Ante of Golden City Models (Nigeria), concerning his treatment of models and minors under his care.

He was reportedly apprehended on September 2nd by the Nigerian Police and the Lagos State Domestic & Sexual Violence Agency (Lagos DSVA).

We sincerely hope the matter is properly investigated and that justice is served fully and without bias.

For years, serious allegations of misconduct and inappropriate behaviour have been raised against a Lagos-based model agent, SAMUEL ANTE of Golden City Models (Nigeria) regarding his treatment of models & minors under his management.

He was reportedly detained on the 2nd of September, by the Nigerian Police and Lagos State Domestic & Sexual Violence Agency (Lagos DSVA).
