Our dear nation has basically been on its knees since forever, even with now more than 150 homo sapiens skulls, many of whom are educated. That's because we just keep making poor decisions and never stop to question ourselves as a people and as a nation. We do not question the things we do at the lowest level on day to day basis. We do not question our tiny weekly little actions and modus operandi to ascertain their overall impact and efficiency. There are many examples to this but i will just pick one of them to illustrate this salient point. Do Christians succeed more than non Christians on earth? Do religious nations succeed more than nonreligious nations on earth? Just look around, if your answer is no, then there are obviously things that has to be changed. For instance, if the Catholic Church in this country can replace its base language Latin, with a more useful contemporary language like French, Spanish, Dutch etc, in a about a decade we will have an entire population of youths who can speak French and know a lot about France to travel there for studies and work. Be objective like me, the Latin is a total waste of time. Its the language of the fallen Roma. empire and no country uses it anymore. So, beyond the fact that people reciting prayers in Latin in our local churches do not understand a dime what they are saying, we are also loosing valuable man hours on weekly bases. Even Rome itself was not built in a day or on a language they do not understand. On the other hand, Protestant Churches spend a whole lot of time weekly praying in languages they do not understand too. Since we both agreed earlier on in this write up that Christian cannot be said to succeed more than atheists in a given society, amd speaking in tongues is not a criteria for entering heaven, something is wrong somewhere too. French, Mandarin or Spanish will be more useful to us as a nation too. Speaking in tongues or speaking in Latin, does not help the nation in anyway, its just for the use of the speaker. Can we move forward doing only things that gratify us? The funny part is that each of these two sides look down on each other for adopting those unproductive languages. There are many other examples both political, religious and otherwise where we loose valuable man hours as Nigerians, but i'll leave them to you. If we as a nation adopt some useful changes and modifications in our modus operandi we can finally rise from our knees and watch the status quo improve by itself. Even Rome, a once great civilization, in its prime realised something they eventually found a way to cut down into words "laborare et orare" Which means, "to work is to pray". So who are we then copying? What do we think we are doing? Can we get a different result while doing the same thing forever? Thank you. God bless Nigeria. There's a demon in the preacher's heart. He is doing Good but he is at war in side Hi hides it but spends his days trying to save others. Every night he looses the battle, he saves more souls by day to reclaim lost ground. The weapon of darkness against him is the temptation of vanity. Every time he falls, he helps many people rise. If he is standing, he still helps many people rise! He is one of those few souls that cause as much damage to darkness both free and in captive. There is a demon in some believer's hearts, when the preacher drives them away, they'll return to fight him by night. His angels and finances have deserted him. Good Lord up there watching, while the Lord's soldier holds his ground fighting. On the last day, maybe the Lord will forgive his soul or not. Either way, he is a fighter who doesn't want to live the sorry Job life. He wants see it all through to the end. He is not perfect. Tonight, he may fall for vanity again. He'll loose his life at the end. But before then, he vows to drive darkness from a million homes. Though the light of God in him dims with every fall, he spends his days lighting a million more. He will give a sermon in church on the last Sunday of his departure. When his body be jerking and his teeth be clenching in death, he wants to stare at that demon's eyes with a smile as his soul levitates, knowing he bleeped the devil all his life. RIH, rest in heaven every man of God at war inside. People are so engrossed in having you help solve their problem that they forget you have yours. Words are seeds just like pictures. They take life instantly or overtime, then give birth to ideas which in turn result to actions and a way of life. Words that paint ideas which are either 1. true, 2. appear to be logically correct or 3. difficult to disprove with any degree of certainty eventually grow in everyone, even on those who initially reject the ideas it illustrates. Has someone who doubted you in an argument ever showed up to you sometime latter on to say "...you were right". ? Clever words or word combinations which result in an incorrect idea also grow in many people. If the person's brain cannot find a subsequent counter proof at the time of reception of the words, it will grow in them. The only thing that can stop the growth of those words into the manifestation of accepted ideas is if the subjects find a subsequent disproof. Over history, we have seen religious leaders lead their followers into suicide or war just by using vague clever words to answer direct questions and talk to the people. What if the subjects accept the words and one of its instructions asks them not to accept or investigate any other counter logic? They become permanently trapped and would not know why they can't move beyond the limits of the ideologies they have. They will not dare to check any other better logic. They will reject all other doctrines and way of life for a reason they cant tell. Words sink in, grow into ideas and become a way of life of the subjects if not countered along the way. This also happens if the subjects internal logic is defeated and overridden by the logic presented by the new words they are receiving. It's like a virus creeping into a system. This growth may happen instantly, or over time. But as long as it is planted successfully , it will grow. Finally, a subject can forget where they got the idea from or who first told them if: 1. Its presented in such a way to make them think its a characteristics they already possess. 2. The new words presents a barely noticeable modification to the original logic of the subject. Eg. "You know we are friends? Good friends keep secrets of each other. So you should not ever tell anyone this". 3. They heard it in their sleep. That way, they will still think the idea came to them naturally. Or they discovered it through intuition by themselves. A person can plant ideas in their own mind using words eg. Pep talks. Words have power and it's one of the primary ways a human brain takes instructions. People who know this have always controled others over the ages. This is a good time to re examine the ideologies and belief system you have Are they original to you? Do you know why you reject the things you reject and do the things you do? Stay blessed. Wait let me show you something real quick...Just take a second to take a look around you. Everything you see is a product of someone's dream - houses, cars, laptops, phones, the whole environment and even you. Yes you because, in the past, a man and came together and fantasized about giving birth to someone like you. They then proceeded to make the dream come true. Either they or someone else close imagined you will be where you are today, to make it come true, they put you through school and tried their best to get you here. Dreams beget dreams and reality bow to their parent illusions. Dreams inside people's minds, that's what all the present you see now once were. Someone imagined that house to be there, then went ahead to see its construction to completion. Same with that car, clothes and so on. You are literally living in someone else's dream, the difference is just time. They once imagined that someone like you will be using their product, and here you are, time warped, deep inside someone's dream, playing the role they had giving you by way of creative imagination. So although you think you are taking your own decisions autonomously and getting things done by chance, you are actually a helpless actor, placed on a mandatory role in a large script created by some other person. Your are living and acting within limits and doing what you were recreated in that dream to do. Eg, ride cars, school in that institution, work in that bank and so on. Hope you get the picture now? A person can be present in multiple dreams, fulfilling multiple roles. For instance, you could be 1. Married - That's playing your part in the past dream of your spouse and people. 2. Working - That's playing your given role in the past dream of the founder of that company 3. Putting on a shirt - That's playing out your role as a user of the product in the past dream of the designer. And so on. So you are one helpless actor, playing your mandatory role in other people's dream. What do you make of that? Truth is, there can be no tomorrow if there is not one last man on earth to dream about it. While you are here reading this article and getting entangled in other people's dream of the present. Some other person somewhere is meditating with eyes closed, creating the future of his choice and probably assigning you a role. Someone somewhere is becoming an employer of labor, a company you will work in and the products you will use in the near future is being built by someone in their mind now. Someone is assigning you roles you may or may not like. Here is the drill, if you don't create your own dream companies, dream children, dream life, you have no real part in the future of your own. You will end up becoming one of those 10,000 employees someone imagined about. To get your dream to reality, after dreaming it, you have to also dream up the road to it. Its like crossing over to the other side where the grass is greener, there must be a route to cross over, otherwise it will all end up as fantasy. You need to dream up or visualize the steps, route, road, bridge from where you are standing in time to where that dream is. Talk about laying down plans. If two different people are dreaming of a particular future in two different ways, the one with more details is the one that will take effect. Don't worry about the taking of action part, once the road to that dream is crystal clear, your days will naturally take that route. Because you now know the smallest, cost effective, fun step to take everyday towards that dream. Working towards your dream is hard when the steps to it are very vague, even if you are courageous, you would still make hundreds of mistakes. Some other thing many people dont realise young enough is that, your dream world is the only place you have all the capital you need to start a business. All the fans you need. All the good voice you need. Your dream world is the place you cannot be held back, its the place you can be president of this country with a land slide victory in the polls. Its the place you can fire that boss, marry that spouse, give birth to those children in better countries. No matter what binds you in the physical world, you are still made of God. Your dream world is a a larger replica of the universe. Its way larger, because the universe is contained in your dream. In your dream you can move to other universes. Right inside that dream, the possibilities are limitless. Most interesting things is that, in that world, you are the God there. Yes, that's the way God created it. You have absolute power. Your spirit can move over the waters and you can decide to create your own days. If you do not dream, you are a God who has chosen to be a slave to mere mortals and circumstances. Finally, with all these new knowledge are you going to pause a moment now to create the future of your choice in your mind, or are you going to keep playing forced roles in other people's dream? So here is the question , tell me, What do you want in life? No really, i mean, tell yourself , what do you want in life? "Ask and it shall be given unto you" . To a great extent, considering what Christianity stands for as a religion and as a relationship with God, the old testament should not have been merged with the new. The old testament is a different God and a different religion, for instance: God in the old testament led the Israelites through a 40 year journey only to go invade another man's land called Cannan. They wiped them off and establish their home there. They also destroyed other cities along the way, eg. Jericho. This is neither the peace, love, respect nor forgiveness that Christianity preaches. It is barbaric. God reportedly ordered Saul through Samuel to massacre the Amalekites. The And punish him for failing to do so. It's not in anyway different from what boko haram is doing now - forcefully kill people and claim territory in the name of God. The Two books don't just belong together. Those guys even killed Jesus because what he was preaching was fundamentally different. Who ever merged those two books got it wrong. Most people who come to give testimonies in church mix it with lies, just to make it sound 'miraculous'. Some exaggerate what happened, and how 'everyone' was just sending money into their account soon as they sowed that seed of faith. When in reality, their aunt had borrowed them money to start a new business in which they have to pay back when they make profit. Some people remove the important details to achieve this purpose, never mentioning that they slept with that man to land that job or how their uncle used his influence to get them employed. Some just lie out-rightly, describing vividly how they watched the calendar they got from church catch fire, glued and burnt the evil bat that flew into their house. You want to doubt? They brought the burnt bat to prove it to testimony ground. Music and praises pleeese! Some lie about how they recovered instantly, threw away the crutches and started running soon as they laid hands on the telly, carefully editing out the part where they had to gradually recover from then on. Some give testimonies before the miracle is confirmed. I don't mean an exercise of faith, i'm talking testimonies already. Pastor prays for this feeble man on wheelchair and forces him to stand and take some steps in the name of 'faith'. There is a microphone on the man's mouth and he is already screaming testimonies while still limping on one foot. Next day, dude is back to his good old wheel chair. The churches are to be blamed too, some churches screen candidates who are about to give testimonies. They fishout those whose testimonies are 'too normal' or commonplace. This makes people want to bend the story to suit the screener's choice. The bat flew in and you killed it and burnt it out of fear, but to get a chance to testify in front of millions of people, you add that the calender glued it and burnt it to pieces!  Dear faithful, when next you get to church to give your testimony, be careful not to put false accusation against God just to touche up the story. God has already done it, say it the way it happened.
