Just saw that she won Destiny child gospel music talent hunt, she won some millions, a car and a recording deal.

arewa just ruined her chances of being selected for the all-star edition of project fame if it will ever happen.

the j'dess save was a shocker though, I did a little bit of digging and discovered that she isn't a newbie to reality shows either. in fact, she won one in 2013.

The saying that oxygen from the stars was essential for water creation on earth is purely speculative talk by scientists which is why they argue about it till date since it cannot be agreed upon generally. Saying water existed before anything else means water existed before all other creation on earth but came after the earth was formed.

Now let's even assume asteroids brought this water as ice to the earth why then is water perfectly suited to this earth and everything on it? Coincidence?

Remember this part of my post

Look at each of waters characteristic which is so perfectly suited to life on earth yet some scientists argue it came from asteroids. Why did this water "decide" to "by chance" hold all the right qualities for life on earth to depend on it? Did water adapt? Did water mutate? Did water evolve for this purpose from outside the earth?

Can water do any of these things?

If we assume water did evolve to suit the earths needs and this water came from asteroids then that would mean we are dealing with evolution beyond our Earth and that would also mean that we are dealing with a mega ultra stroke of luck occurrence of which evolution on earths chances of occurring are infinitismal how much more the chances of water which is perfectly suited for all life on earth to come from asteroids to the earth.

ok thanks for clearing that up but I must say, it's funny how in the face of criticisms of flawed logic, you cleverly retreated to subtly changing the topic of conversation grin .

anyway, it's true that the properties of water are remarkably suited for life, I can't give you an answer as to why it is so but my inability to provide one is hardly a convincing argument against one cheesy

Remember It says God first created the heavens and the earth and then the spirit of God hovered over the surface of the waters. This means the earth came first and then waters before anything else

interesting read, but you lost me at the bolded.

if oxygen from the stars was essential for water formation, how did water exist before anything else? didn't God create the stars on the fourth day? does anything else include the stars?

Ye, ur right. Its d house style of "The Voice" to be easy On contetants when it comes to critique. Take d US version , for instance. Ud never hear Blake or Adam slam an act for not bringing it. Same with d UK or filipino version.Dats the main thing bout The Voice that doesn't seat well with me. But u know naija will always overdo.
Jus like theyv been overdoing the whole "coach banter" thing Blake and Adam are renowned for. Theirs is so cringe-worthy.

Oga the guy try as he even attempt am. Check out any blind auditions, people avoid Bruno Mars songs. His songs are always freaking difficult.
i think the coaches selected the songs for them , it's the only thing that makes sense.

as regards not giving constructive criticisms, i think its because they're not actually judges per se so its understandable if they choose to refrain from criticizing them on stage, they would be doing the contestants a huge disservice if they don't tell them the truth behind the scenes though. its like how faculty members on project fame don't criticize on stage , but back in the academy we all know how uncle ben can be.

Religion / Re: Why Are There More Atheist Men Than Women by ModusOperandi(f): 5:45pm On Sep 04, 2017
this is purely observational and might be a slight overstatement.

i think there are just as many female atheists as there are male atheists, they just have less online presence. not many of them are willing to identify as atheist so they tend to be less vocal/opinionated, and hardly participate in online forums. however, they might be SLIGHTLY less, reasons being;

women are usually under more pressure to conform to traditional/societal stereotypes and certain gender roles. religion is very much interwoven with social and traditional values, going against that by declaring your non-belief might mean becoming "outcasts" especially in very conservative areas/families

women, since time immemorial, have been taught/conditioned from birth to always play the role of the submissive wife or daughter, shrink themselves and to submit to male authority. so there's usually a reluctance to turn their backs against God THE FATHER. but with the recent feminist movements, that's gradually changing and more women are rejecting these roles.

also, studies have shown a positive correlation between level of education and atheism. this point is self explanatory. (I hope)

Religion / Re: Who Created God? - An Invalid Question by ModusOperandi(f): 1:33pm On Sep 04, 2017
butterflylion:

What destroys your whole statement here is one word... ETERNAL!

the God we speak about is known to be an eternal being and since science confirms that the universe has a beginning then the universe cannot be used as a measure for eternity because it is not eternal. Simple.

Since the universe has a beginning then something must have caused it to begin according to scientific law. Nothing can begin to exist without being caused to begin to exist however God does not fit into the definition of "to begin to exist" because GOD IS ETERNAL and eternal means without beginning and without end while to begin to exist talks about a point of reality.

That which existed before the universe is what we term as God and science knows that something did exist before the universe and this something caused the universe to be but refuse to give it a name or acknowledge that this thing is God but their position does not erase the fact that something existed before owr known universe began.
the last paragraph of my post was me speaking hypothetically. your/the op's argument completely relies on the validity of the bible which science has proven to be unreliable, so it is therefore rendered moot.

anyway I think the op actually directed his post at Christians that are still confused about the origin of God, so I'll take my leave
Religion / Re: Who Created God? - An Invalid Question by ModusOperandi(f): 12:47pm On Sep 04, 2017
never read a more self-contradictory article. you say it is impossible for nothing to produce something, but you believe that god (something) came from nothing because some holy book that was written by mortals and riddled with errors implied so. how convenient.

i could also argue that the universe is eternal and independent of time or space, and therefore "God" , because MY holy book said so .

Well... THE TRUTH OF ALL IS... REASON WHAT YOU READ OUT AND IF THEY APPEAR DEMONIC TO YOU, YOU CAN LEAVE IT. BUT I TELL YOU, JEHOVAH HIMSELF WAS APPEARING DEMONIC TO ME BEFORE I GOT THIS MESSAGE.

do you know why I said Jehovah was appearing demonic to me? Because I read my Bible through and discovered that he is the one who committed all the sins he said no man should commit, while the snake, dragon, devil, Satan, dragon, Beelzebub and Lucifer he all blamed were not presented in the Bible itself as commuting any serious sins.

Well...here are the things I found out in the Bible that Jehovah did: 1. he raped a virgin. 2. he committed murder. 3. he commanded incest 4. he commanded genocide 5. he supported killing the blind and lame 6. he hated someone 7. his name is Jealous. 7. he sent diseases upon Egypt whom he has never revealed himself to 8. he rained down fire to destroy a whole nation with their innocent babies. 9. he sent lying spirits into the mouths of innocent prophets. 10. he sent Evil Spirit from heaven to Saul. 11. he tempted Adam and Eve and when they fall he decided to create fire for them and their innocent offspring. 12. he looks like a demonic dictator. 13. all his followers didn't invent a single thing, but scientists did. 14. Christians killed millions of scientists because of Jehovah. 15. he predestined Judas Iscariot for hell fire. 16. he killed about 70,000 Israelites which did not offend him.
17. his book(Bible) mistakenly pointed him out as SATAN which we have been looking for(bible reference later). 18. he killed Uzzah because of a single reflex action of touching the Ark. 19. he destroyed the whole world (with all their innocent children with flood). 20. he talks to much(talkativeness). 21. he blamed the death of his son on everyone in the world who did not even know when it happened. 22. he commanded Hosea, one of his prophets to marry a prostitute. 23. he hated Saul because Saul did not totally destroy a Nation, but spared their animals. 24. he threatened to destroy anybody or any family or any nation which does not come to Israel to observe the feast of tabernacle. 25. yet he did not know that one scientific invention will come into being, BECAUSE CHRISTIANS ALL OVER THE WORLD KILLED THE EARLY SCIENTISTS WHO SAID THAT THE EARTH IS MOVING, CONTRARY TO THE BELIEF OF THE BIBLE THAT THE EARTH HAS FOUNDATION AND IT HAS FOUR CORNERS.

TIME WILL FAIL ME TO TELL YOU MORE OF THE EVIL OF Jehovah/Allah(who is called NYMPHIDIS).
