In Nigeria today having your M.Sc is good but it is not a grantee to get a job. Another important thing is this, which sector will you like to work?

Nigerian Armed forces, Nigerian Police, Nigerian Correctional services services, DSS, and intelligence agencies. Most importantly NGO. Those foreign NGO's love working with them. If this insecurity continues in the north east and other part of the country your sister is guaranteed a Job especially if she has starts working with the smaller ones.
She can also get an administrative position and move to adminstration.
she should try and finish with a good grade.and be the best in what she does she.
Get a degree, find how to create wealth and be independent.
Last last in Nigeria with the right connect she can work anywhere.

I also studied Sociology, i have never for one day regretted studying this course. As a Sociologists, you stand a very high chance of getting INGO jobs. Try and visit some of these job sites, you will see that some of the most advertise jobs required people that studied Sociology.
In another development, Nigeria today; it is not by your course of study. What matters is what you can offer. My advice is that you should allow her study the course. But she should try and acquire some Research skills like: Analytical skills using SPSS, Atlas.t etc. It is her skills that will further give her an edge to get a very good job.
