Didn't Oyinlola/Obada, two christians, win the governorship election in Osun State in 2003 and 2007. Osun State has nothing less than 45% moslem population.
I don't know the diversity of Osun state but i can affirm that in advanced democracies the diversity of the population is taken into account when choosing running mates.

Obasanjo and GEJ were elected by Nigerians. Only their first terms was as a result of the boss dying.

Their religion has not made Nigeria better. The insecurity faced in Nigeria has affected both muslims and christians. Poverty has not distinguished between the religion. Corruption too.

The main issues facing Nigeria affects all religion, picking competence means you get the best hands to start the process of fixing it.
Don't you have competent Christians in APC to rule a diverse entity like Nigeria?

You'll do nothing new but resuming buttlicking me... rubbish. Why am I even wasting time on you sef?
Shut up you paid hack, you behave as if your destiny is intertwined with that of Buhari. You born again Buharist was in the past writing epistles why Buhari won't sell, only to do a u-turn within a week of receiving crust. You have the credibility of an ant, datolee has exposed you as the scam you are. What happened to your useless topics, have your pay checks stopped arriving?

See how dumb you are? Who was Obj boss that died or was killed in 1999 and in 2003? Who was Jonathan boss that died in 2011? How many times will Yar adua die? Anyway, don't bother responding to me because you suck
Stop being an asss.hole, if Murtala were alive would OBJ rule? If Yar'Adua was alive would GEJ be president? Don't start me off cause you'd regret it.

Azikiwe (ceremonial)
Ironsi
Gowon
Obasanjo (Three times)
Shonekan
GEJ

What difference has it made? For most of the current civilian era, it has been christian, except a brief spell by yara'dua. What difference has that made?

Free yourself from bigotry and elect competence not religious sentiments.
From those you quoted above, only Gowon and Obasanjo actually ruled, Ironsi was in power for less than 6months and Shonekan was a figure head for 3months.
Obasanjo and GEJ became Presidents because their bosses died.

These are Nigeria's real Rulers in the past:
Abubakar Tafawa Balewa-Muslim
Murtala-Muslim
Shagari-Muslim
Buhari-Muslim
Babangida-Muslim
Abacha-Muslim

Enough is enough

Totally unrelated, governing a nation is not as easy as ABC like you want us to believe. Even in advanced democracies you don't see parties fielding candidates and ignoring the diversity in those countries.
Stop with that childish rhetoric already.

You must be a religious bigot sir.
Our brothers and sisters in islam and Christianity are dying everyday due to bad governance of the present administration and all that you can think of is to still vote this present administration in because of religion.
Whether Christian muslim, Muslim Christian, Christian Christian, muslim muslim tickets. All we want is change!
Are there no Christians in APC that could effect the change you stated above?

You should be telling me what Muslims have done.
In 54yrs of our existence only two presidents have been Christians and please stop telling me you're a Christian, I didn't ask you. Next you'd be telling me you're from Bayelsa state, anyway don't bother replying because I'm done with this debate.

Politics › Re: The Contradictions Of Muhammadu Buhari by Mogidi: 6:53am On Dec 12, 2014
. To begin with, Buhari was minister of
petroleum in the military regime of
Olusegun Obasanjo. While he was still
serving, it was reported that the
Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC) could not account for $2.8 billion that accrued to the
federal government from crude oil
sales. Since then, Buhari had been
trying to explain away the scandal. However, his refusal to appear before
the Oputa Panel to address the matter
conclusively made discerning
Nigerians to wonder whether the
former military head of state was
hiding a $2.8 billion-sized skeleton in his cupboard.
The money has since disappeared from midland bank London where it was hidden. It has come to good use since 2003 when Buhari started his perennial lust for power.

Those Urging Buhari To Contest Are His Enemies: Dr.Abdulmumin (APC Lawmaker)

Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Finance, Dr. Abdulmumin Jibrin, said on Thursday that those encouraging former Head of State and All Progressives Congress chieftain, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), to contest the 2015 presidential election, were his biggest enemies.

Buhari does not like to be adviced
Buhari also cannot be advised. That is legendary. He believes in himself only. So if before ascending to power, he is unapproachable, when he gets power he will just turn into another Pharaoh as nobody has the monopoly of wisdom and no man is indispensable.

How Buhari's Friends describe him behind his back.

Buhari has nothing to offer…should retire says El-Rufai
While it is true that neither youth nor age supplies wisdom on their own, it makes sense to ask those who have been recurring decimals in our country’s sorry history to leave the stage. That is all El-Rufai asked of these men who seem to think that their failure to do their best for Nigeria when they had the chance qualifies them for a return to office. Our people surely deserve better.
How would Buhari feel if the corruption allegations made against him by Group Captain Usman Jibrin, then a board member of PTF, are today reported as if they were proven facts? So much for “corrupt background” and “shoddy performance”.

@OP
ENJOY!!!

If you are displeased with the just concluded presidential primaries, especially the way GMB was selected, dnt be afraid to burn your voters card, like I did today.... I believe that Rabiu Kwankwaso was the right man.. and with GMB as the flagbearer it will be too much pain to bear. Tinubu knows quite well what he is up to. I find this as a betrayal.. GMB has contested 4 times and lost, why not allow someone else to contest, is he that desperate for power..

we dnt need 75 years old as our president.. this is wrong and should not be allowed in our current democratic society. I have burnt my APC membership card, and will not be voting for this old dictator and religious fanatic..

thanks

I agree with you that Buhari is too drab and completely bereft of any eye-popping ideas, at least on the economy. However, he might be able to apply street commonsense to solve the security and corruption problems at least.

Plus, have we really put GEJ to the test on TV in terms of his mastery of global and local economic matters devoid of inputs from Okonjo Iweala and other people in his cabinet?
I've listened to both GEJ and Buhari interviews and I must say GEJ won't make that monumental mistake of thinking he can solve world problems. I think Buhari tries too hard to be liked, a good example was when he said in an interview that he borrowed money to pay for his forms.

Anyway as citizens we can only vote the aspirants put forth by their respective parties, I'd pick GEJ above Buhari.

If Ribadu was contesting it'll be a different matter.

Congratulations to the Bukohari leader, money well spent though it was Rivers state money that made this victory possible, some would argue its the $2.5bil he stole in the 70s.
This would be his fourth failed attempt at becoming president. I believe we will once again unequivocally tell him he has no business in Aso rock.

All in all I wish him congratulation, money well spent, meeting Atiku dollar for dollar.
