Ask yourself why the mid west region was split into Edo and Delta states. To bring govt closer to the people. Why do we have many states in the SW/SE and the North? Why not one state each in the SW, SE and the North? |

[s] malton: It's quite unfortunate that you do not like the situation in which you presently find yourself, it's even more unfortunate that you cannot do much to change it. That your president is an expert in cattle rearing says a lot about your animalistic tendencies. It's no wonder you always sound like an unthinking goat that doesn't do much than to bleat. Politics › Re: Nigerdelta : A Republic On The Crossroads by Mogidi: 4:26pm On Oct 31, 2015 |
The only way these 4 distinct groups can coexist, is by creating a Niger Delta republic with weak centre in order to allay the fear of domination by any party. History tells us the Mid-west state of the 60s and 70s survived without much rancour. If our parents could live in the old mid-west without one tribe dominating the others, am sure we can live peacefully now if we had our independence. |

TonyeBarcanista: This is not worth celebrating nor seeking to score cheap political points. I've been worried with the dwindling state of the economy since May 29. My prayer is that we don't delve into recession.
The government need to adopt austerity asap... I don't want to gloat but all available studies show there would be recession in the spring of next year. It's unavoidable considering the inept govt we currently have. |

While Buhari’s utterances avow that there would be no sacred cow in his war against corruption, the country’s anti-graft agencies have been perceived to be selective.
One of such persons is the Executive Chairman of the Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, Mr. Debo Adeniran, whose organisation has petitioned the EFCC, ICPC, the President and Senate President alleging corruption and financial misappropriation against former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, and a former Ogun State Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, both of who made Buhari’s list of ministerial nominees. |
