Lee Kuan Yew initiated policies that transformed Singapore into a giant factory floor different nations of the world could come and locate their big industries and processing/manufacturing plants in.

The transfer of technology towards the Singaporeans was literally insane from having some the world's best skilled engineers, scientists, manufacturers, fabricators, machinists etc,etc in their country as expats changing their nations wealth massively and teaching them valuable skills they could then use to develop their own nation in future.

My God, they did that spectacular to transform how Singapore into a science and technology powerhouse today that is one of the most developednation of the world, safest and best to live in.

General IBB, as someone from Abuja, I have a special appreciation for the transformation of this city during your era. The roads, districts, government institutions and national infrastructure remind us of the enormous ambition behind the Abuja project.

I do not believe we should erase the controversies of your administration. Neither should we allow those controversies to erase its achievements.

History must remember both the successes and the mistakes.

What I admire most about your leadership was your boldness, strategic thinking, ability to assemble professionals and technocrats, and willingness to pursue ambitious national projects.

At 85, you remain a living chapter of Nigeria's history.
