I think its a personal thing. From my own understanding, ICAN is our (Nigeria) thing while ACCA is that of UK. The syllabus of ICAN are Nigeria based unlike the ACCA. I can remember vividly when this ACCA came up, people sought after it because of this "live and work in UK thing". Both are respected accounting bodies; so someone can just choose any of them, its a matter of choice. I prefer ICAN though. I stand to be corrected please.

DMilanista: To lighten up this thread, lemme ask dis question: Discuss exhaustively, which is preferable, ICAN or ACCA? Give ur answers with cogent reasons. Senior colleagues are not exempted.

Pls..any authentic info on when employment letters will start flying and when possibly we are to resume because I'm beginning to have doubt on the initial time gap given out. Senior colleagues, I guess u are in a better position to brief us on this.

@Fidet and Elacutey-- Pls what exactly did the lady say? I got her call around 6:23pm but it was fluctuating, so I couldn't hear her right. But I heard her say September and October, and then talked about online assessment and 48hrs. Though she said the mail will contain all instructions. Please tell me all she said in her words if you can remember.

People don dey here know wetin happen 4 uba house...the test was not only cancelled; John said no test invite was sent ab initio. He said uba has placed embargo on hiring for now because of restructuring in the bank. So the "test" was not rescheduled since no test invite was even sent out, just a mischief-making by the peddlers.
