You can raise day olds too if you have raised broilers before.

Yea I actually know, I will not dye their generations, am only doing it for these once as they will be parent of generations. The generations will go to markets.

I free range dem, and no compound yet, so I do that mostly to differentiate dem from other people's birds.

All the Pekins av seen also are white but the poultry guy I bought them said they are Pekins. I will know more as they grow. Maybe he's nt saying the truth abt the weeks too. People can lie jst to sell their market.

And am not good in the market yet.

But this specie is America Pekins, nt the regularly Nigeria Muscovy local specie.

One time my dad brought these animals home and surprisingly they went back to their former house. it was just annoying going round compound in the morning looking for mr $mrs flat feets, when the poultry guy brought them back my dad didn’t waste time roasting two of em.

Lol... They keep going back to former house because you buy them close to ur house. Ducks can play to far distance to their house and come back. Probably, while in their former house, they do come to ur area to play, so hey can't stay. Even chickens to return to their former house if its close, BT it u tie chicken for some days, they will stay.

I actually planned to practice different ducks poultry apart from Chicken and Turkey that I have been doing before.

I have a thread for my Muscovy ducklings (grown to duck now) which are almost 2 months now.

Today 28th December, 2021, I bought 1 week Pekin ducklings - 2 pieces, one male and one female. They will be on Broiler Started for the next 2 months before I change dem back to Grower. I will be updating this thread as they grow.

All the ducks will later be reared on a free range system with water pool facility available at 4 months. Pictures Below.

9th day: Our light here has fault. So, I got lantern. But the eggs lack heat for one full day (24hrs) before I gt the lantern. I don't knw maybe it will have effect on d eggs. Bt we move sha.

you can book from chicken vendors around u, but know in as much as they grow fast, they don't incubate their eggs. you need an incubator
