Gboliwe: Boarding school was fun. Back then, amongst our neigbours, it was like the best thing to send your kids off to a boarding school. So, when I was 9, I took the federal govt college (unity) common entrance. We were three from my hood. We all passed but Jumai was thrown to FGGC Abuloma, Ronke was flung to FGGC Owerri and mini me was thrown to FGGC Gusau. We were all crying because it was so far away from home.
Our parents understood and tried to "work" it back to closer states but me and Ronke weren't that lucky and that's how we both ended up in another unity school and we had mad fun
It was in the dorm I learnt to cook most food with boiling ring. I also learnt to sleep naked. It was in the dorm I learnt to walk around the house naked *covers my face. I also learnt to weave hair in the dorm. I also learnt to manage money. If you like, chop all your money, you will be worse off. Above all, it was in the dorm I learnt so much about human nature. Now I remember it, It was fun, then, it was madness! lol. In the dorm I learnt how to cope and live independently. learnt how to save by fire by force. also learnt how to cut grass cos I always got into trouble either for wrong uniform or wrong colour of sandals. lol. learnt how to fight and stand up for myself. mhen. ..when I look back now, i learnt a lot. |

my neighbour just returned from visiting her eldest daughter in boarding school and it made me remember and reminisce about when I was also in boarding school so here's my experience; I started boarding school in ss1 so I didn't cry when I was being dropped off but I remember feeling alone and small. I tried to ward off stares from other students and act like I actually belonged but before long I realised that I was still a learner when it came to some things so I found succor in being rude and believe me my rudeness got me into uglier situations than out of it. Made friends and my fair share of enemies but guess what? I survived boarding school in Nigeria!
pls share your experiences in boarding schools, what you learned and what you enjoyed most. |
Romance › Re: Why Do Women Ask For Favours During/After Sex by MoNickk(f): 11:40am On Mar 14, 2015 |
op. from the scenario u painted above, the girl is the guys chick and I don't see anything wrong with her request. The only thing wrong is that she did that immediately after sex making it look like he was paying her for sex. but I wonder why guys complain about chicks who request for money.... believe me if that girl plays her cards right, she would collect more than that from him. And I feel that was childish of your cousin to come n table the matter before you making her look like a slut who sleeps with about 5 men or more. except she is not his chick o n just a friend with benefits. |

thatgurlvixen: No o, everyday we leave our houses wearing things ranging from basic jean and tee to elaborate styles takes confidence so singling her out and giving her a 10?? Nuh uh.. It took confidence for genevieve to leave her house looking like a million bucks too na Lmao. I get your point. |

thatgurlvixen: Monickk,I was nodding along till I got to that '10 for confidence line' and I was like 'rara o,,confidence ke?' She would have been better off at home than shoving that eyesore in our faces jor. yeah it takes confidence to leave your house looking like that. |

hello everyone, I'm new here and I got a few things I wanna say about this Susan Peters look. It is all shades of wrong. hair do-wrong, make up-just there, and the dress- she looks like a big bird. wonder how she managed in that hall which I heard was hot. but I give her a 10 for her confidence. |

Romance › What's Your Take On This? by MoNickk(op): 6:56pm On Mar 11, 2015 |
My friends and I were discussing and arguing about this and I need people's opinion. I have two neighbours who are dating and they live in different rooms in the compound. This morning, a guy came to visit the girl in her room and after he left, her boyfriend got angry saying that she didn't show respect for him by bringing a guy into her room. This was what led to the argument and my friends were of the opinion that the bf was right but I tried pointing out to them that the girl left her door wide open so as to show that there was nothing going on but my friends didn't accept that side of the story. which brings me to my question: guys can you and your girlfriend rent different rooms in the same apartment? And girls what do you also feel about this? |
