Thank you all for this treasure of information on this subject, my wife is currently pregnant (very early stage) and I have been looking for ANY source of information on giving birth in Canada without luck. Although I'm not Nigerian, but I guess we all fall in the same shoe in this day and age.

I have read through the entire thread, and have the following questions that I would appreciate some help with.

1. Since we don't have anyone we know in Canada, I'm thinking of flying in at 4-6 months in to the pregnancy to get a feel of the location, maybe even get a referral from a GP and sort thing out. So when wifey flies in at 30 weeks plus it isn't as much of a hassle. Could this be done?
2. Which province would you recommend, are there are certain GPs that would accept to see us while on a visitor visa?
