TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by MooreCode(m): 12:51am On Jun 06, 2021
Hey Guys,

My first attempt. Help me thank God, my visa was approved June 3.

Thanks to everyone that posted their transcript here because I used it to practice.

My transcript:

VO : Your passport and I-20
Me: Good morning ( I passed it)

VO : Why did you choose this course and this school?
Me : I have been an ardent follower of professor xyz and he happens to be a lecturer in this great institution. Also, I have a couple of previous and current colleagues who are graduates of this institution and they have amazing reviews about the standard of education.

VO: what do you do currently?
Me: I’m a senior software engineer

VO: I can see you have a scholarship of 17k why is your sibling still sponsoring you with 32k?
Me: before the scholarship, she has already promised to sponsor me with that amount.

VO: What does she do?
Me: She was formally an accountant with xyz oil and gas Ltd but she currently runs her own company and she’s doing absolutely well.

VO: How long has she been running this company?
Me: 2 years now

VO: Are you sure she can afford the amount since she’s been running this business in this country for just two years?
Me: Oh yes, she makes a lot of profit and she already has a staff strength of 22 employees

VO: (Turns off mic and types for a long time and takes my i-20 to another of her colleagues to confirm a couple of things)
Me: (singing in my heart Moses bliss song titled faithful to fail me, also praying that I’ll not leave here with a blue paper)

VO: (closed my passport and returned I-20 slide her had into the pile of white paper)
Me: (singing in my heart JudiKay song titled Capable God)

VO: you’d need this 1-20 blah blah blah...(hand over my 1-20 with white sheet, said a lot of other instructions then said)
I wish you a safe trip to the United States of America.
Me: thank you.

When I stepped out, I was actually crying, a lot of people were telling me don’t worry you can try again, without realizing that I got an approval.

Guys, you need to pray, your visa is totally dependent on the person interviewing you, his/her mood and what ever they feel at that time.

A lot of people were more prepared than I was, answered better that I did, where asked more technical questions and they gave amazing answers but were also rejected.

I’m not trying to scare anyone but trust me, when you get there you’d see for yourself.

This is my first time and when I entered the hall, I was gripped with fear, but I had just one confidence, and that was God has gone before me and He was also with me.

I wish everyone success and thanks to Everyone sharing there experience.

BusinessCanon Opens Its First West African Office In Nigeria by MooreCode(op): 11:59am On Feb 25, 2017
On Friday, 7th of October 2016, imaging solution vendor, Canon, made an entry into West Africa by setting up its first local office in Nigeria. This move, which has been long overdue, will strengthen Canon’s regional operation and presence in Nigeria.

“We have to succeed in Africa and we won’t be able to do so without being in Nigeria,” said Koji Sato.

The presence in Nigeria will provide Canon the opportunity to gain in-depth reach across Africa and better understand the changing market dynamics and customer demand. The Nigerian company will be called Canon Nigeria Imaging Solutions Limited and it will be located in the financial hub of Nigeria, Lagos.

This comes at a time when other foreign investors are exiting the Nigerian market due to stringent monetary policies put in place by the government. Although there are fears over Canon opening it’s office in Nigeria due to inability to repatriate funds, the company believes that the situation of the country will not remain like this forever as it is well prepared for the current economic situation facing the country.

Why did they choose Nigeria?

Koji Sato, while addressing members of the press said that Nigeria is a big young population with potentials. They have also noticed that Nigerians love photography and images.

This is coming at a time when the business of photography is becoming more and more lucrative in the country. About a decade ago the trend of having a photo shoot for almost everything was minimal. However that has changed now as Nigerians now have a culture of taking pictures for every activity that happens in their lives which includes pre-wedding photo shoot, photo shoot to show “baby bump” shoot and photo shoot after child delivery. Photography is now taken as a professional job as many of the youth in the country who are unemployed now use it as a means to make money. Nowadays people spend a minimum of 200,000 for a pre wedding photo shoot, which has become the order of the day. The entry of Canon into Nigeria is also great news for Nigeria’s film industry, Nollywood, which is the third largest film industry in the world after Hollywood and Bollywood.

How will Canon operate in Nigeria?

The newly set up entity in Nigeria will be under the directives of Canon Central and North Africa (CCNA)’s office in Dubai. The entity will also include two Country Managers who will oversee the provision of on-ground support to tier 1 distributors across Nigeria. CCNA also intends to appoint five Channel Account Managers in Nigeria in 2017 in order to support its Tier 2 Dealer network and enhance the brand presence and visibility in the market.

The company will be partnering with Tenaui Africa Ltd to open its dedicated showroom for B2B solutions in Nigeria. It will also be working with MFI International group. Canon already has a long-standing partnership with MFI International group for the distribution of Canon products, after sales services and MPS solution across Sub Saharan Africa.

NYSCAdvice From An Nysc Hustler by MooreCode(op): 12:15pm On Oct 24, 2016
ADVICE FROM AN NYSC HUSTLER

1. Ensure you get a CAMP BOYFRIEND. This is for the people who go to camp broke, who are naturally broke and can't help being broke. Hustle and "jejely" get someone who would take care of your every needs. It is written that corp members who dare eat the food served in the canteen are liable to die young, in other to prevent this please visit mami regularly and get your camp boyfriend to pay the bills shikina. After all, mami is bae.

2. Be in camp 3 weeks before orientation. For those anxious wannabe corp members you can make it 3 months. Just go to your dream camp or any camp of your choice with faith since they say that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. You don't have to wait for your deployment letter. The essence of your early arrival is to secure an excellent PPA.

3. Partake in every competition, be a bebelube(I too know) if you must. Your light must shine this year. Kung-fu o, tae-kwan-do o, fastest eater o. Just compete anyhow and your PPA shall be heaven.

4. If none of these advice work, all hope is not lost, simply get yourself an nysc husband/wife. Preferably someone with a different ethnicity, someone who understands the present economic crunch and is willing to share the #500,000 nysc gives to newly married corp members EQUALLY. After that, divorce and go your separate ways with a wholesome amount of #250,000 cash. Thank me later.

P. S: please make sure it is just court wedding. To save cost.

Join us straight to camp http://www.ajuwaya.org

Hello guys, any idea of the cost of the visa? Will it exceed 400k?
TravelRe: Lets Talk About Estonia by MooreCode(m): 11:59am On Oct 05, 2016
Aragon1:
Application fee is 100 euros bro..maybe you talking about the 300 euros payment after been admitted at euroacademy academy which is also counted towards your tuition..the 100 euro is just for registration..I guess a combination of both should give you the 400 euros you are talking about but get the difference right and the timing of payment...success bro
Thanks., i almost got that mixed up
TravelRe: Lets Talk About Estonia by MooreCode(m): 7:42am On Oct 05, 2016
Thanks man. I will contact the school directly. But i saw smtin like 400 euros for registration, and it seem like its just bank payment.
striker9:
Try to send an email to the school, they will be in the best position to help you,and considering app will start by January and close in April, you can still get it right?
