Those are criminal offenses right there, and even those on drugs are not above the law. So, ensuring he is punished in accordance with the law is paramount to helping him at least learn that. At the same time, it would remove OP and his family from harm's way in the time being. 😒😒

That will also give the brother time and place to ruminate and consider the direction of his life from that point on. If the brother wants, from that point on, to see a psychiatrist/check himself into a mental health asylum, he can make that choice then for himself. Seeing businesses bounce back is proof that we are winning this fight against insecurity. We’ll get there sooner than they think! Areas they might be a bit worried about is Jos north but good governance is addressing this. Come down south

A few months later, he came back to Lagos and realized that he had been living his best life in Nasarawa (cost of living and all), he went back (to Nasarawa) and never looked back.

If not for insecurity, Jos, Plateau state is a good place to explore.
