Naz34:Who's not thinking straight between me and you. Apart from the civil war, how many innocent citizens died during the era of Military rule compare it to number of death from 1999 to date. Put all the terrorist bombing, kidnapping and extras judicial killing during democracy era. Think am again, Mr dumb. |
dappydozzy:You just sound like a Trump loyalist. Same you people that say age has nothing to do with presidency are the same set people who condemn Paul Biya, Mugabe and the rest of old leaders in Africa. |

So, guess if I was born during Military era or not. Funny you.Since '99 of having a stable democracy rule. Who still control the Judiciary arm of government. |
I still wonder why most countries of the world preferred people within the ages of 65 and above to stand for presidency. That's why I love military rule! You can never see anyone above the ages of 60 as head of state. |
New power has been vested on this new LG chairman. We will wait till they start fighting state governors based on their supreme court autonomy. The new looters in town ![]() Naija, my country. |
Blizzy300:Nothing last forever. The show will face out soon. People are getting tired already and the country situations is contributing the more. |
Kudos to the Police force but this was only done to safe their image because the issue already generated social media attention. Situation like this must come with big stick on the Police leadership as well. The DPO, Area commander and big guns in that Police division where this happen should be suspended without pay for months or relocate them to rural areas. I believe all this junior officers make returns to the high rank officers. Once security agencies are clean, corruption 'might' reduce in this country. |
A first-class Osun State monarch, the Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, is dead. His death was announced in a statement, signed by Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Chief Yinka Fasuyi, obtained by PUNCH Online on Thursday in Osogbo, the state capital. Before Fasuyi’s confirmation of the monarch’s passage, there was anxiety over the health of Oba Aromolaran, who was said to be indisposed. Confirming the monarch’s death, Fasuyi, in a tribute that he personally sent to our correspondent, wrote, “An Era Comes To An Abrupt End! “A Monumental History Closes! The Lion Departs The Forest! The Torch Bearer Of Oduduwa Relocates! The Symbol Of Obokun Adimula Transits! The Elegance Of Ijesaland Royalty Takes A Bow! “The Pride Of Yoruba Traditional Intellectualism Exits! The Conscience Of Yoruba Traditional Rulers Departs! “The Last Of The Titans Bids Farewell! Ijesaland Celebrates The Life Of Her Idol! Ijesaland Extolls The Life Of Our Imperial Majesty! Osun monarch, four others remanded for illegal gold mining “Ijesaland Eulogises The Reign Of Our Owa Obokun Adimula! In a statement, Atiku recalled the late monarch’s fatherly warmth, describing him as more than just a father-in-law but a symbol of courage, boldness, and discipline emblematic of the Ijesha people. PUNCH Online in October 2017 reported that the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland and Chairman, Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers, clocked 80. He ascended the throne on February 20, 1982, and spent 42 years on the throne until his demise.
