A black music executive has apologised to a white woman he called out for questioning whether he should be in a First Class priority boarding queue. Emmit Walker posted a script of the conversation he had with the woman following their encounter from Ronald Reagan airport in Washington DC to the Dominican Republic. The woman behind him in the queue spoke to him to tell him he was in wrong place adding that ‘they will call y’all after we board’. He called her out on Facebook, but later regretted it saying that he didn’t expect such a widespread reaction to his post. The initial exchange Her: excuse me i believe you may be in the wrong place you need to let us thru. This line is for priority boarding Me: priority meaning first class correct? Her: Yes…now excuse me they will call y’all after we board Me: *shove first class priority boarding pass in her face* you can relax ma’am I’m in the right spot, been here longer, so you can board after me Her: *still won’t let It go* he must be military or something, but we paid for our seats so he still should have to wait Me: nope to big to ever be in anybodies military. I’m just a nigga with money Everybody waiting in line: starts to clap lmao The post in which he detailed what happened during his exchange Here’s what he said after the post went viral: ‘When I posted that post on Facebook i didn’t expect all that to come from it. ‘I can honestly name the four or five people i thought would comment with something funny, and that will be it. ‘This racist stuff is definitely a issue but this is not the solution to that issue.’ ‘It brings me no joy waking up in paradise to for my 37 bday and knowing that woman might be going threw hell. The story was definitely real, just like this issue is definitely real, but I now know that I myself should of handled it another way, or left it how it was, and not shared it publicly. A SERVING ARMY GENERAL ATTACKED? Yesterday, Monday, the 11th of June 2018, Maj. Gen. J. S. Malu, a serving officer in the army; he was the former commander, 41 Div Engineers, commander internal security operations (Operation Yaki) in 1 Div. Hqtrs, Kaduna, the immediate past Army Hqtrs Garrison Commander (AHQ), and presently the Corp Commander, Nigeria Army Engineers (NAE), was attacked in his country home in kastina-Ala L. G. A. of Benue state. About thirty (30) armed herdsmen came to his house yesterday night, and in a commando style immobilized the vehicles in the compound, and were about to attack, when the escorts and security to the General engaged them in a heavy gun battle; which lasted for about an hour. The terrorists discovering and acknowledging the superior power of the soldiers took to their heels and on the motorbikes they came with. Unfortunately, the soldiers couldn't pursue them because their mobilities had been immobilized by the flat tyres. The other day citizens were disarmed by the police, now soldiers are been withdrawn from retired senior generals who are entitled to such previledges. Police escorts are being either withdrawn or reduced from VIPs. If such occurrences are happening now, then we are truly under a very serious siege! Officers are retired untimely and indiscriminately, with so much victimization, ethnic and religious undertone. Is there any plan to allow people die, and then honour them posthumously? How can such impunity and injustice be allowed to continue? It is high time this administration do the needful to arrest and prosecute immediately every form of wickedness and killings, and take serious measures to protect the innocent and unarmed citizens!! Rewrite the injustice in the army, by investigating the untimely retirements of victimized and innocent officers!!! Finding purpose is a journey for everyone, unfortunately, not everyone bothers about finding out what their purpose is in life. Some people are more interested in being successful (which unfortunately, they equate to being financially wealthy). I don’t believe that you have to be extremely rich to be successful and thankfully I have come across a lot of people who don’t believe so either. Success to me, means walking in my purpose, doing what God has called me to do and being excellent at it. I have discovered that my purpose can only be found in Christ. The biggest issue (or what seems to be the biggest issue) that most people face is discovering what their purpose is in life. I have listened to a couple of messages and I am inspired to share some tips with you. If you are out there worried about not knowing your purpose and struggling with “how to find it” then this post is for you. Here are a few things to note: 1. Your faith : your life is shaped by what you believe In. (Quote By Dr. Mensah Otabil). Also, your life is beyond you as a person. so first of all, you have to choose who you believe is the supreme owner of your life (who do you owe your life to?). I recommend God Alrighty 2. Your gift: Everyone has certain things they enjoy doing better than other things. What do you find yourself drawn to more? It doesn’t have to be something unique or mind blowing. Look out for the simple things you like and work on getting better at them. (it doesn’t happen overnight) 3. Your service: recognize the fact that EVERYTHING you have is not yours, it was given to you (1 Corinthians 4 vs 7). It is only wise that you also give back in one way or the other. If you want to be successful, seek to become a person of value (Dr. Myles Monroe). What are you doing to give back to the people around you (your society/community/school/home) ? Are there ways you can use that “simple thing you like doing” to solve a “simple problem around you”? 4. Your growth: What are you doing daily to nurture yourself? Any living thing that doesn’t grow, either dies or gets stale. You need to work on being the best version of yourself everyday, not just physically but emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. 5. Your mindset: If you have an idea that you think would solve any kind of problem, don’t doubt yourself for what ever reason. God would not have put a dream in your heart, if He had not already given you everything you need to fulfill it. (Joel Osteen) 6. Your obedience: I just had to add this last point to draw our attention to the fact that obedience is a principle that is sometimes overlooked. Obedience to God, to our family and those in authority is key. You obey what you trust, and you trust what you love. Success is not a pursuit, but a result of obedience to divine and natural laws of life established by the creator (Dr.Myles Monroe) As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, Finding purpose is a journey. To enjoy this journey, you need to be consistent at being your best self and trusting in God. If you have any other tips please share below. I love reading your comments, kindly share your thoughts below. Article credits: Dupe (Nigerian Lifestyle blogger. www.abujatalkative.com
