No powerful people anywhere! When the leaders summoned the land grabber, he pleaded with the people claiming that the equipment handlers went beyond where he instructed them to. But it was all a facade. So the leaders advised the affected persons to go and sort things with him. It's a terrible situation because it will always end in this big man's terms as he's started fencing the place without settling all the affected persons.

The few that have had a discussion with him is from the place of fear. He's given himself upper hand in all of this as the resistance from the youths couldn't stop him at the point of encroachment!

Go and see your traditional leader of your locality and explain to him,get information from him them you will be able see what is giving the land grabber liver and be able to determine how to fight, whether its worth fighting and how to choose your battles. Look at your Kings disposition and where he stands concerning the matter.many times many of these land grabbers have the backing of traditional rulers or other powerful people in the county for example the reason why these fulani miscreants are destroying farms and killing farmers because some of these traditional rulers have sold the land in exchange for cows etc.im not saying that is case but do your findings

Secondly go and see your local government chairman know whatsup

The community has already given up at this point, asking owners of the encroached lands to go about it themselves. What can a poor widow do or how can they even negotiate strongly in front of gun-carrying escorts?

How can someone not willing to sell his or accept his proposed settlement even stand his ground with all the surrounding intimidations??

Similar thing happened in Anambra state in my friends village,this rich man has a company in lagos and there was this land close to his house owned by one poor orphan.

Unfortunately this rich man came home one day and started fencing the house and even building on it,elders of the land came spoke to him he asked them to tell the guy to quote his price...his fellow rich guys begged him to leave the poor guy,he refused.

Then,the small boy went to a neighbouring village and reported the matter to a shrine,they invited the rich,he refused to come over and sent a message that he has gone back to Lagos.

One blessed day,the so called rich man died early in the morning and the entire village were in terribly shock...what happened next further created fear amongst its people.

The chief priest of the shrine came and they request for the rich man's body to be brought to the shrine else, more people would die from the family if they don't perform the needed rituals to spare the rest of the family.
This happened in Oba in Anambra state.

My advice
Look for a way and visit Anambra state,there are many village shrine that look into such matters and I bet u,justice would be served without delay.

If u don't take actions early enough,he would continue in his show of strength and power over the entire village.

The main essence is not to kill,is for him to be told the real truth and desist from his evil ways but if he insist,the shrine would strike him whomever is lying among them.

Thanks for the heads up chief but a lot of people were affected and we the youths are the ones looking to stage a resistance. He's gone to meet some of the land owners but none has agreed to sell to him yet as they can't even figure their land marks!

But he's still going further with his grading activities. He's even brought sand, chippings, and gravel to the site.

There's an ongoing cult war between two communities in Anambra over land dispute.

They have even exported their madness to Asaba in neighbouring Delta.

While I don't know much about the Anambra case, but it does look like a community (or boundary) land unlike ours that are lands of different persons.

In fact, lands from over 14 families were affected and calls from the DPO weren't honored by the infringing bully.

This is happening in Imo state and not Anambra.

I don't think something like this happens every where in the East! In fact, this is the first time I'm witnessing this level of oppression where the villagers are confused on how to confront the bully!

One rich dude based in Lagos (Charles Obinna Chiemelem) returned home with bulldozer and some security people and cleared several lands covering massive areas behind his current residence/house.

The story is that he's planning to build a bigger residence with all sorts of comfort and facilities. Now, some of our lands were involved in this mess (inherited and purchased lands alike), and the dude neither consulted us nor any of the other affected persons before this act!

Some of the affected persons around came out during the show but could not stop him. I learn he's gone back to base leaving the affected persons with no solid plan for individual negotiations, while his machines are still on site destroying/grading more lands .

What is the best way to deal with this situation and get instant result without running afoul of the law?
