To be candid with you in all honesty. If your job grants you the opportunity to work from abroad, why are you rushing to come here?

This may sound off to you. But, even if you are paid 2k euros and you live in Nigeria, you are better off than some of us earning 5k here. No jokes.

The taxes and the monthly rent thing are crazy.

I have seen people who moved here and regret why they pushed for the company to bring them.

In some cities, a comfortable studio apartment is 1k per month outside your tax. Some are cheaper, depending on where your office is located.

No rush come. It's not a threat or some kind of discouragement, though. People who have nothing can easily move and hustle larger first.

I am just saying, sha.

Cleantip:
Who has similar experience.

I received a job offer with pre-approval valid for 1 year. I contacted the embassy for an appointment, I got a date in about 2 weeks. I did the interview 24 July 2026. Since then I haven't received any update, no calls or email. I sent email Monday 1st day of the 5th week still no reply. Monday 31st will mark the beginning of 6 weeks...
My question are:

1)Has anyone ever experienced this kind of delay even with pre-approval
2) How long does it usually take the embassy with pre-approval.
3) Should I call the embassy?
