I stated that land is better than a house. A house is long term liability that will take decades to get to profit while you still have to keep maintaining it.

Land requires no maintenance excluding taxes.

Who dig the ground and sink 100m into it knowing you will only get to profit after a minimum of 20 years.

Do you know what can be done with 100m within that space of time without doing anything?

It’s a false belief that building a house is profitable. Its not! Land is better.

Buying and installing solar power in my apartment. No more using rechargeable lanterns and candles. I am now able to read my bible in the morning and in the evening when it is dark outside. My phone is constantly charged and I don't have to waste money buying petrol for the generator. It's like living abroad where there is constant supply of electricity. I am grateful to God who provided the money to purchase the solar unit.

On one of my many travels I was invited for breakfast at an old friends house, they had a help who was much younger than his last born but she was the one in the kitchen helping the wife, when breakfast was ready she was asked to go wake the children up, they all dragged themselves down about 10minutes later and mumbled greetings to me. We sat at the table and this little girl was the one serving even the wife, and while she was doing this the wife and children kept nagging, complaining and calling her names. I couldn't eat the food.
Took my cup of coffee and returned to the living room. I later got to know that the little girl was the wife's niece.
I Lost absolute respect for my friend.

One thing I must not is that the little girl in question remained calm and continued saying "yes ma" "sorry ma". Very gentle soul

My brother,why the oyibo people that are rich doesn't behave this way is because some of these things are very cheap and worth nothing much over there.
For example,in UK,You can buy a 50 inch flat screen with £200.which is about 10% of some monthly salary.
Some lower year cars, looking very good and new can be bought at £2000..a month salary.Na why an average European no send anybody wey wan show off.
Well,the difference is the case in Naija..where some one will buy car and start disturbing the whole community and church with noise and so called nonsense steeze.
