To your point 1.... Iran wasn't among the top 10 technologically advanced countries list because of the ever unending lies the west feeds the world about its falsehood and mostly, religion. Just for you to get a grasp, this is the only country to have successful implanted one of the most delicate sense organ which is the eye and also the first to possess a fully functioning technologically crafted artificial brains.
If it had been in the old days, where there was no media and when records like these are only known to the elite, they would have used their deceptive ways to alter history and make it seems like it's them that actually accomplish such and falsely feeds it to the brains of earthlings.
If not for the social media and advance in telecommunication tech, these people would have further feed the world of the Naives (the natural civilians) with their bogus philosophies like they did with the true history of the jews, the world map, human evolution, the galaxy and language evolution.
Thanks to tech advancements, we can now see the real truth as more and more people are now becoming consciously wise.
PS: even in today's world, they still try to alter glaring facts to back their filthy pride like for example, in tech, samsung and huawei are known to be far more technologically advanced than apple to the extent that, features introduced by samsung or huawei wouldn't be recognised by many but if after few years later, apple was able to achieve such, they will go all north and south to make it seem like they are the first and the best and the dumb-brained ordinaries will accept that false acclamation as the fact.
It's purely visible to everyone that, the knowledgeable ones are the inhabitants of the east whereas the deceptive ones are the west.
