This is called day time saving. normally we are 5hrs ahead, market open 2.30 close 9pm. Day time saving on November, will normalise around May again. So for Now market open 3.30, close 10pm. You can google day time saving for deeper explanation!!

I'm a bit confused with timing. We used to be 5 hours ahead of the US stock market, now it's 6 hours (opening time was 2:30pm Nigerian time, now 3:30pm). Please how is this possible?

Having a broker with zero commission makes trading fun. I can do with small gains.

With our Nigerian platforms, the commissions are high (but they are justified due to the operating environment and probably fewer Customer base), imaging the likes of Tradezero that can attract Customers in Brazil, India etc. I am sure the likes of Chaka, Trove will find it difficult to attract Customers that are not of Nigeria origin!!!

If you are good in fundamentals and do not know technicals, you may not do well in this market. Why, you are in competition with others that are mostly using technical analysis or a mix of both technical analysis and fundamentals. The solution is that by fire by force yoo need technical analysis.

Ever since I opened my Vest account more than 3 months ago, I have not been able to fund it due to all this dollar hullabaloo policies in naija. With this our naija brokers, you have to make like 20% profit before you can break even by the time you factor in exchange rate and commisions! Talk of monkey dey work baboon dey chop. Honestly a zero commission broker is the best.

If you are truly interested and serious about it, I will advice you to go and study this thread from day one. That's exactly what I did. All the information you seek are there somewhere.

Be the CEO of your portfolio and have peace. Stop blaming anyone for you decisions/indecisions. Get recommendations but do your own due diligence and take absolute responsibility for your actions. If the same recommendations had gone south, the story would have been different. I'm a bit new but I know better to take responsibility than pointing fingers. I come in peace.

Great concept, although doubling 1 million every year will not give you 1 billion by the tenth year but 512 million.

Same thing with UCAP. My BE is around 2.6, so I am very comfortable when it dips like today. In fact, with this interim dividend, I will be getting more than I initially invested. For Friday the blockchain industry was bullish, as I was not looking at the market all day, seeing the NASDAQ negative by close of market was a little surprising for me. It is likely the crowdstrike/Microsoft outage made the market to penalise the tech sector.

Again, I want to say this is the best forum you can be. For example which investment (that will give you rest of mind, never put money is you see such in Nigeria as it will definitely be a scam, I am saying this with 100% assurance) will give you dividend yield of 5% per month, few, but in this our market we have them (you can ask our caucus members).

Wishing everybody longevity in this market.. For me I am seeing potential of earning easy money on monthly basis with 5% dividend yield. Like I pointed out previously, for those of us with Vest .Io this type of dividend flow (you invest some back, minimum is $1.00) represents deposit, so you have met the condition that you must deposit some moner every quarter even if you receive 1 cent dividend, it may be counted as deposit.

Thanks for your comment. Actually, I look at the last comment on VEST. IO review that say you must funf your account quarterly/monthly or you pay a surcharge. Actually when I got tge mail I was worried. However, if you but dividend paying stocks, your dividend flow counts as deposit (so this bails you out of funding or get surcharge).

Going further, VEST. IO is bigger than 5 or even 10 chaka/Trove added together. So the big size compared with our local APPS offer so. E comfort. Then people saying they withdraw money and cannot see their mone looks absord, bursted brokers'clients are normally paid by the FRA (Financial Regulatory Agency) talk less of a broker that is still in business. If you experience such (withdrew money and money never got to you), first write to drive wealth (drivewealth is main stockbroker fot TROVE, CHAKA, VEST. IO and a couple of others and drivewealt'owmer is a Director in CME or so thing similar). So, looking at all these, VEST is okay relatively.

I was able to check TRANSPOWER's Q1, what I can say is HOLD and be patient.
If you are large and have spare funds, be topping your stakes as it's probably going down.
At current -10% in market, pick some if the fund is there....... medium to long term is looking good.
