To prepare for the upcoming Damp Proof Course casting scheduled for later this week, today saw the delivery of 30 tons of sharp sand, procured at a cost of #265,000. Additionally, 30 tons of granite were supplied, amounting to an expense of #450,000.

Soil compaction was completed today, alongside preliminary plumbing work, in preparation for foundation casting. Proper soil compaction is critical in foundation work as it ensures a stable, uniform base that minimizes settlement, enhances load-bearing capacity, and prevents structural issues like cracking or shifting over time.

A total of #50000 for the compaction and #195000 for the plumbing work.

We will commence the casting of the DPC first week of next month

Currently a total of 380 tons of laterite was used; equivalent to #2.85m

It is truly delightful to be here once more. We experienced a minor delay due to estate obligations that escalated the cost implications beyond the client's budget.

Owing to the estate's proximity to the Asejire Dam, we were instructed to elevate the foundation to 2.25 meters, which we are presently undertaking. A total of 10 courses

We are done with the foundation block setting today, commence the foundation column form work immediately. The total foundation height is 1.675m. 1m in the soil, 0.675m above the ground level.

We will do the column casting tomorrow.

As stated we used 100mm as the pad footing for the foundation.
And we maintain 1:2:4 mixing ratio for our concrete work.

We stated the foundation block laying yesterday and we are moving gradually.

We have commence the installation of foundation column reinforcement

The project final goal

It's a sandy land and the foundation depth designed by the estate engineer was 1.4m, but considering the slope of the land and the heavy flow of drainage facing the land, we will raise it above that.

According to the BOQ prepared and agreed on the substructure (which consist of foundation, filling and DPC) #14.2m
