What you have is most likely an ulcer. Ulcers are caused mostly by a bacteria. So what should be done is to remove the bacteria.
Buy Omeprazole 20mg twice daily for Two weeks. It wud reduce the pain. But proceed to do a H.Pylori test to confirm if you have the bacteria.

doc. your advice is against medical ethics. you should have advised him to go for a lab test so that he can know exactly what Is wrong with him and also,know the right medication to take.
