There is a Leadway Assurance advert that runs at nights during the week when the 9 pm network news is aired on NTA. The song is a Nigerian song I heard sometime back but I do not know the musician who did the song. Please if anyone knows the singer, please state the title of the track and its singer. Thanks ![]() |
omokidew: They caught me at ikotun in front of First Bank and dragged me into their station.. They then searched me and found a western union receipt with me.. Searched my phone and found an American number.. The name on the western union receipt was a Nigerian name as the sender and the number belonged to an uncle but they weren't deterred. They made me call the number thinking i was a yahoo boy and i saved a maga's number using a nigerian name but they heard my uncle talking.. He was calling my name and wanted to know why i was calling him that late and if i received the money he sent. That didnt stop them either.. They opened my phone and threw my battery into the gutter, brought out a paper and started dictating for me.. ""Say you are a criminal" .. When i refused to follow their instructions, i received the hottest slap of my life and they brought out an electric taser .. Omo, when i saw the device sparking, no be person tell me to start writing everything they instructed me to write.. I pleaded with them to let me go that the money was meant for my fathers hospital bill who just had a stroke. Forget oo, they deducted #20,000 naira from the 120 and asked me to go and bring my father. How could i possibly bring someone that was already bedridden .. Anyway, my old man died 2 weeks later and till today, i keep asking myself if i should have made a case with them. Where do i go and where to start from. Who will listen to me and if its goig to become a license for more harassment ..This is serious. I almost had the same experience too some years back. I was coming out of a bank with a friend where I went to collect some money sent through western union and this money was sent by a close friend of mine. Myself and my friend had hardly taken some steps away from the bank when these policemen came out from nowhere and started asking us questions. One of the policemen then said he would like to search us so as to see what we had in our pockets and I told him point blank that he did not keep anything inside my pockets so he has no right to tell me to bring out the contents of my pocket for him to see on the highway. While this was going on, the other policemen were watching us from a short distance and I stood on my ground that I won't bring out the contents for him to see because I had already shown him my ID card and he has also frisked our bodies and he did not notice anything unusual when doing it. While we were still dragging the matter, another policeman then came to meet us and said he must search me and the next thing he did to me was dipping his hands into my pockets and I just didn't know what went over me so I landed him a hot slap and he was even dazed to do anything. Immediately that happened, I saw the other policemen running towards us and I just signalled to my friend that we should take to our heels cos I know if I had waited for the others to come, I'm sure I won't be on NL writing this incident right now. To cut the long story short, they were unable to catch me but they got my friend and I had to send some other friends to go bail him later that day with 6000. The Nigerian police Force is one hell of a sick organization. |

Airtel has the worst customer service among all the gsm network providers. For over 6 days now, I have not been able to do anything on my BB and anytime I load credit on my line, its being deducted and I do not get a text message to notify me what the money is being deducted for. I am tired of calling the customer care line because each time I do, all I keep hearing is 'we will do something about it' and the most annoying part is the details I get when they run a check on line is always different from what I get to hear previously each I time I speak to any of their customer care agent. Stupid network |
