musco4me:well, unfurtunately in this world of ours, we judge brilliance through academic record. That's the key!!! I slightly agree with you as regard some 2.1 grads that can't comfortably write a cover letter. Most especially all these yahoo guys or rich kids that bribe their way into school. Some will tell you they just need the certificate! That's all!!. But then, most peeps I know with 1st or 2nd are good! Very good!! 2.1 no be here o! Let alone of 1st. You must be completely oustanding to maintain the tempo!!! If you truely made a 2.1 on merit, you must be good! I know too many of my friends that were even far better than most lecturers! It does happen. There's this guy in my class that defended his Degree project in School Audit. That's to tell you how good some folks can be! And he even made a 2.1 not a first. |
oscarforreal:LOLS! I also attended one today with UConnect for Call Center Role. So I was asked to speak 2 Nigerian Language fluently but I goofed! And from the Look on his face (interviewer) I need no one to tell me my performance wasn't impressive. Immediately I finish blab bing, the GM asked me to take my leave that they will get back to me. Just this evening an sms from them came in inviting me for the second stage of the Interview on same 2 Languages!! As for you, I think you performed averagely maybe that's why they considered you. |
mrvitalis:the change you seek must begin with you first! By going back to elementary school to learn basic singular and plural, past and present tense, spelling and sentence correction. No hard feelings bro! |
I should have given philips consulting about 100 percent for job weldone! But honestly they messed the whole thing up with their OMR numbering system! Seriously! Don't know how they gonna clean up this mess coz a lot of people will bank on that when they eventually fail to meet the cut off. For us that wrote at REAGAN PRIMARY SCHOOL, YABA LAGOS, we were informed to start from number 1 of Part A to number 40 of Part B that makes it 100. so I'm really scared with all this conflicting instructions!! SCOFIELD is good no doubt, but he needs to be reminded that SOMETHINGS ARE BETTER LEFT UNSAID! There are far inteligent peeps that equally wrote the test. And to some of us, this should or would be our last test as GRADUATE TRAINEES! Most of us are experience higher! So what I'm saying is this, the test we wrote doesn't call for bragging and insult. Rather we should channel that energy to something productive. I'm sure, some of us on this Forum had acess to the questions even before the Exam! This is Nigeria! Anything is possible! and would possibly come here to display their inteligence with intention to Intimidate some peeps in here!! I stand to be corrected! |
MechM:it all depends on your location. I drove all the way from Ajah to Cms then took costain to Yaba. Then had to ask persons for the addy of the school. When you get to Yaba, take a bus or keke going to ONIKE! The school is very popular in that town. Oh' forgot you're coming with your own ride! Just connect to Yaba from any direction you're coming from! Stop at Jibowu and ask bus drivers! You'll find your way! |
Mhen got to Reagan primary school lagos so late this evening! Made arrangement to crash in one of the class rooms so I can do my acccreditation as early as 7 or 8am in the morning! Wish you all the very best!!! Great thanks to Nairalanders that gave out all this important info of going with just the sms and a passport I'd for the accreditation. I thought all hope was lost for those of us that didn't get both the mails and invitation letter!!! |
Inspirational piece!!! Very inspirational!!!! |
I gained admission on MERIT to study the course I so much desire! Basically, if you have the background knowledge of the course you intend to study in Uni, you wount have much problem in your first year. Especially all the Introductory courses (101)! Again I found out that most peeps that gain admission based on Supplimentary List or given courses other than their choosen courses don't usually do well coz of lack of interest or Zeal. Secondly, to make a FIRST OR SECOND, you must READ, take important notes in class then make friends with people with Sharp Brains. Get a reading partner and strike a balance with your Book and other social activities. Back then in school, I participated actively in SUG and stuffs like that but wasn't carried away! My eyes was always on the GOAL to make a first class. Lastly, you MUST be LOYAL! Honestly, it pays to be LOYAL! I had a good relationship with my HOD and other lecturers so never had issues with missing scripts and victimization. I was also close to my Coursrep! So my dear, the Key point is Putting God first, Being Loyal, and making friends with people that share same aspiration as you. That's all! I thank God for Granting me my dream course! Gained admission on Merit, and had 4.23 on a scale of 5.0 it can only be God! |
BobE1:God gives! And God takes!! No one is immune to death! When I lost my Dad about 3 months ago! What I did was to tearfully go on my knees and say "thank u Lord" coz he knows the best!!! |
THERE WAS A COUNTRY!! |
AbuMikey:both the interior and exterior looks quite flambouyant!! Don't really like it! I love it SIMPLE! His home now looks more like a Night Lounge ! *i'm not hating! Just saying it the way it is for me!* |
YOU gullible Nigerians should stop making shit out of CHIBOK!!! CHIBOK KIDNAP IS. A BLOODY SCAM |
Gbolask24:dude please stop messing up all thread with your silly blog advert! NO ONE WILL CLICK ON YOUR BLOG! Its that simple! ...... That's by the way! Well, its about time we stopped portraying TAMBUWAL as a demi god! As far as PDP is concerned, he's nobody!! We are tired of reading same news every minute of the day!! So the issue of his decamping aint news anymore coz we already know he's been sitting on FENCE all this while as a pdp member. |
Even an average indidvidual can comfortably set up that thing he calls E-library!!! This man is simply a chronic Thief!! He's absolutely one of the worst things that has happened to Abia as a state. Go to Aba and you'll weep for the state. |
So where's OMOJUWA? That boy that thinks he's a twittter god!!! |
South Africa's football captain Senzo Meyiwa has died after being shot during a burglary, police say. He was reportedly attacked after men entered his girlfriend's house in Vosloorus, south of Johannesburg. His agent described him as a humble man from a tough background who had become a "hero in everyone's eyes". The 27-year-old was the goalkeeper for Orlando Pirates and had played in South Africa's last four Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. On Saturday, he was in action for his club, when they progressed to the semi-finals of the South African League Cup, beating Ajax Cape Town 4-1. Reward offered In a statement, the South African Police Service said two men had entered the house, around 20:00 (18:00 GMT), demanding mobiles phones and valuables. A third man remained outside. Reports said Meyiwa may have been trying to defend his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo All three fled on foot after shots were fired. The footballer may have been trying to defend his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo, a South African singer and celebrity, when he was shot, reports said. He was declared dead on arrival at hospital. Police said on Sunday evening that they were breaking protocol to announce his death so soon after the shooting. Relatives and fans gathered outside the hospital and Ms Khumalo's house to grieve over Meyiwa's death. National shock - by Milton Nkosi, BBC News, Johannesburg The whole nation is mourning the passing of a national football hero. Radio and TV chat shows are clogged with callers expressing their shock and dismay. And I must declare personal interest right from the onset - Orlando Pirates has been my team since growing up in Soweto. His shooting brings into sharp focus the wider issues of gun crime in South Africa, particularly so soon after the marathon trial of athlete Oscar Pistorius, who says he shot dead his girlfriend by mistake, fearing there was an intruder in the house. South Africa is asking itself deep questions about the cancer of violence that has killed some of its best talent. It was seven years ago this month that renowned reggae singer Lucky Dube was killed in a robbery. The question in many people's minds is: granted there is crime all over the world, but why is it that here in South Africa violence is so gratuitous? South African President Jacob Zuma said in a statement on Monday: "We mourn the death of this young footballer and team leader whose life has been taken away at the prime of his career. Words cannot express the nation's shock at this loss." Members of Kelly Khumalo's family arrived at her home on Monday morning Senzo Meyiwa began playing for Orlando Pirates in 2005 and went on to captain the national team Ephraim Mashaba, head coach of South Africa's football team wept during a news conference called on Monday in response to the footballer's death. 'Senzo is everything' "Senzo was a very kind person," he said. "I have never seen Senzo being sad or angry in the camp." Urging Meyiwa's team-mates and colleagues to stay strong, he added: "Senzo is a team player, Senzo is everything." His words were echoed by South Africa midfielder Dean Furman who told the BBC that Meyiwa was "just the nicest guy you could wish to meet". President Jacob Zuma (here with Meyiwa in 2013) said words could not express the nation's shock Investigators worked outside the scene of the shooting in the Vosloorus township on Monday "It's tragic, so sad", Furman added. "He has a young family so there's more to it than losing a footballer. Someone's lost a dad." Meyiwa's agent Mike Makaab called the death "a huge shock", saying that Meyiwa was "really a hero in everybody's eyes". Team mate Tsepo Masilela was among many voicing their shock at the news on social media. "How do you kill someone for a cellphone?" he tweeted, saying the whole country was at a loss. "When does it STOP South Africa?" wrote Darren Keet, the national team's number two goalkeeper. Gun violence Senzo Meyiwa started playing for Orlando Pirates, based in the Parktown district of Johannesburg, in 2005. "This is a sad loss whichever way you look at it, to Senzo's family, his extended family, Orlando Pirates and to the nation,'' said Pirates' chairman Irvin Khoza. His death is the second blow to South Africa's sporting community in three days. On Friday, former 800m world champion runner Mbulaeni Mulaudzi was killed in a car crash. The shooting has once again highlighted South Africa's high crime rates and problems with gun violence. Between April 2013 and March 2014, more than 17,000 people were murdered in South Africa, an increase of about 5% since the previous year, according to police figures. Are you in South Africa? What is your reaction to the death of Senzo Meyiwa? You can send your comments to haveyoursay@bbc.co.uk Source: http//www..bbc.com/news/world-africa-29781978 |
