I think the Ezenwa guy has rebranded. This is a more professional name tag JobsLever: Chevron Nigeria Limited Assessment for operator position often involves technical assessment. Bro, you mentioned here that you did medicals. Were you contacted again/recently as at last week? ValeignNurt: I lied guys! I went for the interview and was asked to do medicals, then Chevron went blank. Please help me if you have any info regarding if this process is ongoing. Let me not lose my mind |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 2:17pm On May 15 |
You are missing the point. Someone said that HR called, and another said it is a lie, that HR will send a general message. I simply asked those who have gotten to the final stage which is the medicals to confirm if they got any call from HR. This will truly confirm if the process is alive or not. smartkester: People applied for different roles so you don't expect the call to be general. The timelines might differ just as timelines differ during interviews. If you have done Medicals you have nothing to panic about. 99% of those who did Medicals would get the job. If people vying for same roles with you have done Medicals and you weren't reached out to it means you didn't cross the interview stage |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 12:29pm On May 15 |
Maybe we should ask @optimist2023 and @seriousbaby if they got any call from HR. They already confirmed they did their Medicals last year. inibro: I am not trying to convince you, I am just passing out information.
I know 2 people they called. nd yes these people did interview and background medical checks |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 4:36pm On May 07 |
I think all the statuses are still showing active, until the entire process is completed. Someone once mentioned the roles that already received "interview invites" , and HR Generalist was one of them. This was even about a year ago, May 13, 2025 to be more precise. AleleOgor: The role for HR Generalist, they haven't been invited for interview and the application status is showing active.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 1:39pm On May 07 |
Is it also safe to assume that some roles that have not been contacted for medicals have been discontinued? smartkester: Again, I believe Chevron will get back to those who have done medicals regardless of how long it takes.
If you didn't do medicals, please lower your expectations it simply means you didn't pass the previous interview |

You're bored, and want to "stir" up another controversy with your phantom someone. You're always the harbinger of bad news. Go and take several seats bro, it will do your heart some good. ValeignNurt: Good day everyone, someone I know mentioned Chevron wants to stir this recruitment again. Though I can't confirm how true this is. Please, anybody with useful information concerning this? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 10:03pm On Feb 11 |
The application listed Lagos as the location, except that something changed, which may not be entirely a problem. At this point, no one knows anything. We can only keep the hope alive until we get a definite communication from official quarters. Cheers! smartkester: I pray you get to work with Chevron. All these so called desk based roles are littered everywhere offshore. We have HR specialist on the offshore. You need to understand the offshore office space in Escravos is even bigger than Topcon yard office in Warri main town. I don't know about Lagos office though. But all I'm saying is that very few core staff work permanently at the office. Even some managers do work offshore a times.
But it's all good. Let's just wait and see how everything unfolds |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 3:54pm On Feb 11 |
Even your 80%-90% is inaccurate. More than half of the roles advertised here are desk-based. Attorney • Commercial Coordinator • Communication Coordinator • Communications Representative • Data Scientist • Decision Analyst • Financial Analyst • HR Generalist • HSE Specialist • Senior Security Information Specialist What will these ones be doing on a rig/site, except occasionally? smartkester: Well, let me correct myself. Let's say 80-90% not all |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 12:22pm On Feb 10 |
So forget about the recruitment. You don't need to shove it down anybody's throat. Let those who still want to hope, hope. Keep your negative mindset to yourself, and focus on your NLNG recruitment, I am sure there is a thread for that. ValeignNurt: That sitting arrangement excuse is really funny lol. I gave info here about what a recently retired staff member told me about this recruitment, and someone who didn't mention any source said otherwise. I would like for this exercise to come to an end, but for now, the truth is until you mention a reliable source, I am sticking to what someone with trusted info said which is, FORGET ABOUT THE RECRUITMENT. I just got to the next round of NLNG recruitment and hopefully it works out for me. I won't tie my hope here. It has proven to be a waste of precious hope doing so |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 8:24am On Nov 11, 2025 |
Why are you so bothered about the exercise? You said it yourself that you didn't bother to show up for the interview, so let those with hope continue to hope. Don't cry more than the bereaved. ValeignNurt: Lol, understandably ,😂😂. With all due respect sir, one year is not understandably. Also nothing is guaranteed until offer letter is in your hands. I insist these guys have stopped this recruitment. Their lack of communication says it all. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 4:30am On Nov 09, 2025 |
This is not a good mindset. People get jobs everytime without connections. How would you win the lottery if you don't buy the ticket? ValeignNurt: Chevron just dey look all of una dey laugh. People wey don employ who Dem wan employ. I am happy I didn't waste my energy going for the interview |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 2:22pm On Oct 18, 2025 |
That's the spirit bro. You are 70% in if you got the background check mail. Like previously advised, take your mind off it, even though that's a very hard task. Keep the search on, and know you've officially moved to Lagos, with or without Chevron. All the best bro. seriousbaby: Wow, I am famous here now 🎉. I really appreciate you guys fam.
Honestly, all the responses here made me feel heard, and like I am not alone. I appreciate guys!
Yeah, for the ones that pointed out I took a big risk getting an apartment, honestly you are right. That was an impulsive decision I didn't think through at the time.
I also appreciate the advice on not waiting on Chevy forever. I just need to put myself together and start job hunting with real zeal again. Kind of sad, but reality is reality.
I hope this works out by the way. I would keep you guys posted if/when Chevron decides to respond.
Thanks guys ✌️ |

Relax, if you could have waited for over a year now, give it a few more months, say till January. If you got background checks, you'll most likely hear from them soon, except something went wrong with your checks. But tbh, you took a huge gamble on this by resigning and taking an apartment in Lagos. I hope this works out for you in the end. Shalom! seriousbaby: Like I am so frustrated, I can't even whyne you guys. I used some of the last cash I had to rent an apartment in Lagos after I got the background check mail about 4 months ago. House is wasting, can't seem to concentrate because every other day I am not sure if resigning from my previous job so early was the right choice. Honestly, I am down because of this bullcrap of a recruitment. I just need to vent. |

The biometrics are part of the background checks. Medicals come afterwards, but as far as i know, and with the information available, not sure anyone has gone for medicals. Alaprom: Ok, is the biometrics coming after background checks? Is it also different from the medical stage? |

I am in a similar situation. We have no choice than to play the waiting game at this point. Whenever they are ready, they will provide an update. seriousbaby: Thanks for the response bro. I did receive the background check to be honest, and that is why I am still perplexed as to why it is taking forever to progress or at least send a rejection mail. I hate to be left hanging and this has been on for about 10 months now. At least they should respect us enough to let us know if there is a hiring freeze |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by mrlee2: 4:56pm On Jul 16, 2025 |
Did you receive background checks? The last update I am aware of is background checks for most positions, not sure anyone has done medicals. I may be wrong though. seriousbaby: Good day everyone, please I have just one question. Have they given anyone/ any team offer(s) ? I am not referring to contract staff recruitment or interviews. I am referring to actual offers. Please if you know let us know. So I personally can move on 🙏. Thank you |

With your statement, you obviously work there. Can we at least get a timeline? Everything just seems static. Javis123: Fact. I watched the thread till now with no comment. This is authentic so far. No one knows how many we're taking this year, no one knows talent acquisition plans thus far. |

Thanks for this update. Please do you have an idea of the status of the background checks for other roles in the same batch? Kindly share.
