On Monday I had 10,000 from someone. I was so happy I went and bought a list of things
1. palmoil 1300
2. Rice 2600
3. I paid part of the airtime I was owing network 600
4. 5 Eggs 1000
5. Sent my kid bro 2000
6. Groundnut 300
7. Sugar 400
8. Garri 1400

That's all 9600 could buy.
Right now gas has finished and I have nothing to fill gas. Now gas is even over 1000 per kg

All this is no lie but a current reality of what I am facing. Things are very expensive now and the ordinary Nigerians are being treated as lairs. When you complain about the reality of things, People are quick to shout you down.
Is it that they are buying things from other market or they have it all in abundance?

I need a job very badly please. I am the first son and I have 2 of my younger brothers who are dependent on me.
I lost my job since January but I'm yet to get another.

I learnt how to develop web and mobile applications last year because I really wanted a skill, so far I have learnt react, nodejs, PHP/Laravel,, monogDB, firebase and mysql and I can develop a fullstack application. I have evidence for this. I also know how to think very logical programmatically to solve complex problems.

I currently work as a tech instructor in a small tech institute to manage and I'm been paid 30k, it can't even feed me for a month, talkeless of my brothers. I have been here for 4 months and I teach people how to write Javascript codes, set up nodejs sever and mysql/mongodb database.


Please I need to get something substantial doing to help my brothers, I am pleading to anyone who can help me. I have the skill, I'm very confident in my skill. I know I will eventually get somthing from this skill but for now, I may not be able to keep up befofr it start coming. I need help.

How do you advice they conduct a written exam on you if they so wish?

Also, for some jobs, part of the interview process is them seeing your physique to be sure your statistics meet the requirements for the job.

A good advice for you...."when next you applying for a job, apply for the ones within your walking distance having full consideration to your circumstances and conditions"

Replying to a job offer in that manner shows you don't even deserve to get any job in any establishment. Your tone of response may be good for spare part trading or pepper selling!

My very first job, I was out my parents' house by 6am with no food. I was at the interview venue by 7.am to 7.30pm. NO FOOD. The thousands of people who were there left gradually until we were just 4. No interview. All we were told was oga was in a meeting.

At 7.30pm, the main man came out of his office with a cigar in his mouth and strolled outside. Na so I rush go meet the man give am CV. He called the deputy to come out and meet him. Instruction: give this young man a placement in the company.

The other three were watching from a distance. Na so all of them rush the oga. Everyone was employed instantly.

He entered his car and travelled out to US the same night as we later heard. No other interview was done. That job gave me my first car and first rented apartment at 23 years of age after 8 months.

Life belongs to the dogged, not to the arrogant ones who cannot take risks.

Do you know who you could have met on the way to Lagos? Or in Lagos? Or in the interview spot? Or later that evening?

Recently with the way things are hard. I have started having phobia for checking my account balance. I mean anytime I received credit alert for my salary payment. I always have this fear of checking my balance. Even when I'm doing transactions with my bank account I don't check balance. There is the pressure that I always have, anytime I wanted to check for balance. The fear of seeing my money going down too quickly. Is not easy now days things are very hard.
